Do you have a link for him on the doe network? I'd like to see the reconstruction.

Okay, maybe it is just me, but if someone (named "Snake" no less) gave you a HUMAN skull, wouldn't you go right to the police? Maybe it is just me...

The match looks okay to me, but is six months missing enough time to get from MO to FL and be only a skull?

They should have looked at the background of this homeowner because he/she probably murdered the guy themselves...

JMO but my guess is the homeowner was actually the person to commit the crime. He kept the skull as a souvenir maybe? Took off when police discovered it. Why else keep some random human skull "given to you by some guy named Snake" and put it on a shelf for people to see? That makes no sense. Did the homeowner's name ever come out? They could ask around and find out if there was someone he hated. Enough to kill and hold on to the skull. I hope this man gets identified. How sad.

The word homeowner implies they'll always have a connection to the property. How can a homeowner evade LE forever? If you sell the home later on, especially in the mid to late 1990s, or even the early 2000s, there wasn't a whole lot of electronic signatures. You physically went to an office (title company, attorney, etc) and you signed paperwork.

It seems like there could be a lot of info that is being kept quiet while the investigation continues. They probably need to do DNA and genetic genealogy to solve the victim's ID if the homeowner isn't forthcoming with info.
