A Buffalo-area woman has been placed in federal custody in central Pennsylvania, accused of crossing the state line to allow a man she had met on the Internet to engage in sexual conduct with her child - reportedly a 2-year-old girl.

Angela Larkin, a 34-year-old woman with three aliases, faces three charges after being indicted by a federal grand jury in the case that dates back to November. Federal officials in Pennsylvania had no specific address for Larkin, saying only that she lived in the Buffalo area.

Larkin - who also uses the names Angela McCullen, Martina McCullen and Angela Main - faces a federal charge accusing her of crossing the state line Nov. 27 with the intent to have a child under 12 engage in sexual conduct, federal officials said Friday. She also faces two other federal charges for allowing a child under 18 to engage in such conduct.

Linda Vizi, an FBI special agent in Philadelphia, wouldn't confirm the age of Larkin's daughter or say where the little girl is staying now. Vizi refused to provide any more information than was listed in the indictment.

The Reading Eagle newspaper quoted investigators who said that Richard D. King Jr., 43, of Mohnton, Pa., met Larkin online sometime last year. Investigators also claimed that Larkin promised King he could have sex with her young daughter, the newspaper report

May 2009:

Details of child sex crimes that earned Angela Larkin a 30-year federal prison sentence Friday are so "vile" U.S. Middle District Judge John E. Jones III closed his courtroom here to the public during testimony about the "severe" physical and emotional damage done to two children...

Larkin was arrested in Reading more than five years ago but - according to court records - the sexual abuse included a trip to Buffalo, N.Y. and pedophiles in the western part of the state...

ones called the case the ugliest of his legal career. What occurred was "unspeakable," he said, describing Larkin as a woman who sought love and affection from pedophiles by providing them a child for sex.

The case led to other prosecutions, including several pedophiles arrested in Pittsburgh and another already sentenced in the Middle District.

December 2010:

the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit has affirmed the prison sentence of Angela Larkin, age 41. Larkin, a former Cameron County resident, was previously sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge John E. Jones, III, to serve 30 years in prison for producing child *advertiser censored* on her computer.

According to United States Attorney Peter J. Smith, Larkin pled guilty to producing child *advertiser censored* of young relatives which she then sent to a pedophile in Texas in the fall of 2003.

Larkin was sentenced by Judge Jones on May 22, 2009. In appealing her sentence, Larkin claimed that the 30-year prison sentence was unreasonable and the government breached the plea agreement by requesting an upward variance from the guidelines at sentencing.

The Third Circuit ruled, however, that the government did not breach the plea agreement and that Judge Jones properly considered and applied the relevant sentencing factors and imposed a reasonable sentence, noting that Judge Jones mentioned that “other than homicide, this was the worst case that I have seen not only in the seven years on the federal bench, but in 22 years of lawyering before that.” The court also noted that Judge Jones considered properly Larkin’s age and family background but still lawfully imposed a sentence similar to one for her co-defendant, Richard King.

March 2009:

A 47-year-old Brecknock Township man has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for plotting with a New York woman he met on the Internet to rape her 2-year-old daughter in 2003, officials said Tuesday.

Richard King received a sentence above the maximum range from U.S. District Court Judge John E. Jones III in Williamsport on federal charges of soliciting sex with the girl...

Investigators said King e-mailed Angela Larkin, 39, of Buffalo in November 2003 to arrange to rape Larkin's daughter.

Mama deserves the death penalty for that. Offering up her two yr old to be raped? I'd flip the switch myself.
