A mother convicted of the murder of two of her children has admitted that she killed a third.
Maxine Robinson, 35, of Chester-le-Street, County Durham, pleaded guilty at Newcastle Crown Court on Thursday.
She had been convicted of the murder of her 19-month-old daughter Christine and five-month-old son Anthony in 1993.
The death of her first child, Victoria, in 1989 had been thought to be a cot death, but Robinson was charged with murder in January last year.
Victoria was nine-months-old when she died at the family home in Pelton, near Chester-le-Street, County Durham.
While serving her current sentence in Durham Prison, the investigation into Victoria's death was re-opened after Robinson made a confession, telling a 'listener' she had killed her daughter from her first marriage.
