MIAMI - The National Hurricane Center says Tropical Storm Hanna has formed northeast of the northern Leeward Islands in the Atlantic.

The eighth tropical storm of the Atlantic season had top sustained winds near 40 mph Thursday. Its center was about 305 miles northeast of the northern Leeward Islands and was moving toward the west-northwest near 12 mph.

Hanna could produce rainfall of 1 to 4 inches across parts of the Leeward Islands. It's too soon to say if Hanna will affect the U.S.

LOL I know, right? I'm so sick of bad weather, the rain, now all of these storms. Anyone with children will know how I'm dealing with all of this with 4 kids and 4 dogs all stuck in the house for days on end. And, on top of it all, our county just announced that there is no school tomorrow. YAY, NOT! lol

This just in - per poco's tv -

Hurricane Hannah - Category 2 - heading towards northern florida Jacksonville/Savannah Ga area and close on her tail is Ike.......

:eek:I hope Hanna doesn't plan on touring the east coast of florida, I just don't think I could handle it.

As I sit on the beautiful barrier island in south NC that I call home...

Let me tell you, tomorrow we start getting ready.

I had 42" of water in my house for Fran, so it's time to start moving things up.

What is bad, if this one doesn't get us, I fear Ike will. I hope they don't both, it'll be a mess.

They're spitting them out at us like little cannon balls.

Hanna is still out there and Ike is on his way.

That one behind Ike (coming off the coast of Africa) looks like it may develop into something here, too, very soon!!!

see Ike's projected path - scroll down a little ways on the page.

Oh Poco, at least your cannonball comment made me laugh. I keep waiting for J any day now.

Poco!
Don't I know it about Hanna and that next depression assumed to be called Ike. I live along the coast of NC and this is alarming. I don't wish harm to anyone, but I'm hoping Hanna hits far below us and only brings some rain! Isn't that awful? Just telling the awful truth! I think I saw Ike might now even hit the US if he keeps on his current track.

I forgot where you live so maybe I'm wishing YOU get the brunt of it. If so, SORRY!!

gaia:rolleyes:

Tropical Depression 10 is now Tropical Storm Josephine and still too far out to determine where it will hit.
