Who will be lead counsel?

So we know that Jose will not be able to sit as lead (I swear everytime I see his full name I think it says Joan Baez).

Throw some names out there...will a high profile, media whoring defense attorney step forward for yet even more publicity?

I think so.

How will the Anthony's afford this type of defense otherwise?

Didn't you get the memo yesterday? Casey will sit as lead, with Jose as assitant. Honest, I'm not joking (but I think I hear Simon and Garfunkle warming up in the background, with "It's All Happening At The Zoo"!)

HHmmm this thread made me think of something - honestly Mark NeJame is one of the best here in Orlando. I am wondering if the reason that he took on GA and CA as clients is to not have to represent KC at her trial. I am not sure - but can a defense atty represent both the parents and the child - if the parents would be called as a witness for a childs trial?

And I thought the same - that KC was going to represent herself and have JB next to her..... WORST mistake of her life if that is true

just went and checked the transcript for last nights show

"To Dr. Lawrence Kobilinsky, forensic scientist out of John J. College of Criminal Justice, and he is hired, on board the Casey Anthony defense team."

Lead Co-Counsel Unknown (I'm not sure who Jose's cronies are. I'm sure he'll want to agree on someone rather than have two attorneys head-butting. There are some good Orlando defense attorneys like Chan Muller. I have a favorite female defense attorney (Patricia Cashman) and she's a Leslie Abramson look-alike (the atty who represented the Menendez brothers). She's really very good--but oh so TUFF! I have no idea what Patricia Cashman is doing now but she's very good at what she does and used to teach Evidence out at UCF.

In reality, I doubt KC will be allowed to represent herself. It's a sure thing for an appeal to be granted and the state does not want to run this trial twice - it's already been a waste of taxpayer dollars on the wild goose chase KC has sent them on. No. No way. Baez would want no part of that. He's kind of an idiot but surely not that much of one??? (second thoughts on that statement).

Where are the *advertiser censored*? Mark G. Joe T. right...didn't they lose their last big cases? Would that really matter?

Appeal on what grounds?? If you represent yourself, you lose the right to appeal on the grounds of ineffective counsel.

Oh no...You heard right. He joined the defense team a few weeks ago which is why his answers on the show suddenly became so cryptic I am sure

Is there a link to any of this info? I have done a several searches and cannot come up with anything about Jose being told to he can't handle the case or Casey representing herself. Thanks in advance.

GRACE: Back to Nikki Pierce with WDBO. Nikki, there is talk that Baez may actually have to step down from taking the case to trial?

NIKKI PIERCE, REPORTER, WDBO RADIO: There`s some talk about that, because, as I understand it, you have to have five years as an attorney at least to be able to defend this kind of a case.

We also hear that Casey Anthony may actually defend herself. This from Jose Baez`s PR firm, saying that she would have access to state funds to get her some investigators if she did so.

He joined the defense team a few weeks ago as forensic specialist. NG was wild the day she found out. A camera man had to tie her down and feed her biscuits til a vet could arrive and give her a horse tranquilizer. She almost gnawed off a foot.

OK. seriously, he is the defense specialist in forensics

I reckon that other stuff woulda been funny
