I just wanted to post this child a thread on here. His mother has one and since its definite that "Suzanne Davis" is not alive and Michael might be- I think this is very important....................

For people not aware of this case, a brief summary (Beware, its confusing!)

Franklin Floyd (now imprisoned) initially claimed that Michael Hughes mother known as "Suzanne" or "Tonya" was his daughter. (See her thread for more details)

DNA proved that Michaels mother was not related to Floyd in any way. After his arrest pornographic photos were found depicting "Suzanne" as a child with Floyd.

Floyd had married his "daughter" "Suzanne" in 1989. She was killed in a suspicious hit-and-run accident in 1990- Floyd being the main suspect.

Floyd kidnapped 6 year old Micheal in 1994 at gun-point from his school. Michael was living with foster carers at the time.

Franklin claimed Michael was his son- DNA proves otherwise.

Police think "Suzanne" may have also been kidnapped by Floyd as a child.

I hope you've got it..............

Heres Michaels doe link

You can also see his mothers thread in Cold Cases. Lets keep our eyes open though. Michael may still be alive................

I wonder if Michael's DNA was ever compared with the blood supposedly taken from Suzanne/Sharon/Tanya. Or if it was compared with any of the families who lost children around the time Sharon first appeared with Floyd?

What really bothers me about this is that Michael is presumed dead. There is a chance that he is alive. I don't think it can be assumed that he is dead, when there is no real evidence that points into either direction.

The FBI considers Michael's case still open. Floyd made statements to several people that he killed Michael. Can he be believed? Should he be believed? Rebecca Barr made some interesting statements at the time regarding Michael....She was sure he was still alive, she was keeping his Christmas and birthday presents for him, and directly implied she would be seeing him again when he turned 21. Was this just a smoke screen, or the ramblings of a woman in love with a sociopath?

Time will tell.

For some reason I really think Michael is still alive. But where? As for Floyd I don't think one word that comes out of his mouth is true.

OKLAHOMA CITY - When Michael Hughes came to live in foster care, he was "a basket case," his foster father said Wednesday.
The boy's mother, Tonya Hughes, died in a hit-and-run accident in 1990. Police say her husband, Franklin Delano Floyd, was a suspect in her death.
Michael, then 2 years old, was abandoned at a hospital. State welfare authorities placed him with Merle and Ernest Bean, and Mr. Floyd fled the state.
Now Mr. Floyd is accused of abducting Michael from his Choctaw elementary school at gunpoint Sept. 12. Mr. Floyd was arrested last week in Louisville, Ky., but Michael wasn't with him.
A federal magistrate has ordered Mr. Floyd returned to Oklahoma to face the charges.
The search for Michael continues, mostly in the Atlanta area because Mr. Floyd had a bus ticket stub from Atlanta in his pocket when arrested.
"When I first got him, I guess you could say he was a basket case," Mr. Bean ! said at a news conference Wednesday, the family's first public plea for Michael's return. "He was a headache."
The boy had severe psychological problems, Mr. Bean said, and spent many nights crying.
In 1991, Mr. Floyd returned to Oklahoma and fought for custody of his wife's son. He argued that he is the boy's father, although blood tests have proved he is not.
The Beans said Michael hated his supervised visits with Mr. Floyd, who was living at a federal halfway house in Oklahoma City.
"They would pull him away from me," Ms. Bean said. "It just wasn't something he liked to do."
But the Beans said that, with love and patience, Michael's nighttime crying subsided.
"He's just like any kid," Mr. Bean said. "He's just smiling all the time. He was a happy, well-adjusted kid."
Michael lived with the Beans longer than any of their other foster children, and the Beans' children considered him a brother.
Still, M! r. Bean said, all was not well.
"We suspected something like this would happen," he said. He refused to elaborate, saying Department of Human Services officials have asked the family not to discuss Mr. Floyd.
"It was just a feeling we had that it might happen," he said.
State and federal law require the family not discuss the case, said agency spokesman George Earl Johnson Jr. But the FBI told the agency Monday that it would help the investigation if the family held a news conference.
The Beans, who have cared for 61 foster children over the last 10 years, say they wanted to adopt Michael.
"We still want to adopt Michael," Mr. Bean said, "but his blood relatives could want him."
FBI spokesman Dan Vogel said investigators have found a man who says he is Michael's real father, but the man's claim has not been confirmed.
Federal authorities have said Mr. Floyd may have kidnapped Ms. Hughes when she was a child and became her common-law husband when she was a teen-ager. A portrait in F! BI custody shows Mr. Floyd in a fatherly pose with Ms. Hughes, who was 4 at the time.

Kind of makes you wonder, doesn't it, about the human mind? Sharon Marshall lived with Floyd as his daughter, and although she was damaged psychologically, she was able to function normally.

Her son lived with Floyd as a son, and he was a "basket case."

Still, we don't know what Sharon was like at that age. Maybe as she grew up, she learned to adjust to her circumstances. Maybe Michael would have, too. It breaks my heart because it seems like the Beans were so good for him. He had a chance at a normal life, and Floyd stole that. Floyd stole the lives of two children. That we know of.

I was raised in Oklahoma very near to where FDF had an Apartment just after the Hit and Run when I read that the OK Police was at the funeral and gave FDF a ride and later the Police made the statement that they knew whom aka: Sharon Marshall dad is, my heart hurt even more .It would not be a surprise to me that they are holding more information then the general public well ever know and they are under no obligation to say anything other then give a statement. That particular area has its own third generation police force.

This is one of the strangest missing person's cases I have ever heard of. There's really 2 stories involved here. Would like to get an active thread going here to find out who exactly this young boys mom is (she was also apparently abducted by this man, and is presumed to be born around 1969, abducted from June 1973-August 1975) and what happened to him after he was abducted by his "father" which was eventually proven he is not. His name is Franklin Delano Floyd and he is on death row in Florida. He refuses to tell the whereabouts of Michael Hughes. I have linked the Charley Project case and Doe Network files below. Please see all links as it's a very complicated case. Maybe we all here at WS can do some good research and find some answers. Thanks.

OK, I got it. Running a bit long though. Have all missing/UND's been cleared from doe network, etc.? Thanks

Sharon Marshall's story is one of the most-discussed cases in the Cold Cases section, and my own private obsession. Any girl even remotely a possibility on Doe Network or any other site has been DNA checked, along with several others that we've discovered over the years. A new perspective is always appreciated, of course.

Maybe we all here at WS can do some good research and find some answers. Thanks.

Welcome to WS!

At the top right of page there is a search feature, if you type in the Sharon Marshall and click search you will be AMAZED at the work that has been done by Wsers on this. Jump right in! It's always awesome to have fresh eyes on a cold case.
