I'd like to see if we can get a list of some specific areas where printed flyers have been or need to be distributed. I live in a tiny town in Michigan and can't help in this way, but I have been emailing his story around and urging others to do the same. :D I'm glad he got the national Dr. Phil exposure, but that was only aired once and we still need to get his story out there in other ways.

I was hoping the locals can maybe contact their little "hometown" newspapers that are free and published weekly, to see about getting Benjaman's story printed.

Indiana (specifically Indianapolis and surrounding areas)
Colorado
Georgia (Richmond Hill, Savannah and surrounding areas)

So, can anyone else think of other specific cities or more states that need to be addressed?

Do we have any volunteers from these states who would be willing to contact their papers? What about printing out some flyers and distributing them at hospitals (surgery area?), truck stops, grocery stores, etc...

If you've distributed flyers in your area, please post the approximate locations here so others will know that part of a city has been done.

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help spread Benjaman's story.

I can post flyers in Winter Park, Co. (and the small surrounding area).

Can someone who has experience adding information to Wikipedia please edit his page and add some photos and more detailed information, please? Here's the LINK to his Wikipedia page.

I am currently working on a letter with links to the videos, articles and Doe Network, etc... to send to Snopes to try to get them to verify this story. The more the graphics are passed around the internet, the more people are going to go check Snopes to see if it's true - I want everyone to feel confident in forwarding the graphics to everyone on their email lists and think it would be a valuable resource for Snopes to verify Benjaman's story.

ETA:
I just sent the following information to Snopes.com:

Re: Benjaman Kyle, Amnesia Victim

I am trying to get this man’s story verified and his name entered in the keyword search area. The following graphic is being distributed on the web and includes a contact number for Bill Kirkconnell with the FBI in Savannah, GA, which is one way to verify that this story is not a hoax. As this graphic gets forwarded, more people are going to want to know if this is a hoax and will probably go to Snopes for the answer.

I am including links to various online sources, from The Doe Network to Georgia newspaper articles to the Dr. Phil Show to aid in your verification of this amnesia victim’s story.

I hope you will consider adding this story to your informative site.

Thank you for your time.

Good idea, SieSie! I will take a stab at the wiki page.

It also just came to me, I'm not in any of the areas that are at this time key areas regarding Benjaman - and I live in tiny cowtown so I don't have a whole lot of places to post flyers - but I'm going to print some up to keep in the car with me. I'll leave one anywhere I can... dentists office, doctors, bulletin board at the grocery store, etc.

ETA: SieSie, I'm working on editing the wiki page. I'm reading in the guidelines that I have to have at least 10 edits and 4 days age on my account in order to upload photos. I'm pretty sure the 10 edits will be no problem as I forgot twice to add necessary tags and had to re-edit - being a dork will help me out for that count, lol. Unless someone has an account and can edit/upload currently, I will keep at it and post once I get the photos up myself. My account will be "old" enough on the 12th to do the photos.

I added Benjaman's physical attributes, info regarding medical scars, etc. What else should be included besides photos? I'm guessing a link to the main entry for Benjaman's threads here would be a good thing.

Thank you sooooo much for doing this, snowme!!! I was hoping someone with some experience would know how to get it done. :blowkiss:

I think you did a wonderful job - I just looked at his wiki page and love that you added the FBI agents name and contact info as well as his height, scars, etc... Great job!! Thank you so much.

The only other things I can think to add would be in the References section, the following aren't listed:

Didn't a linguist on Dr. Phil's show tell us that BK may have come from certain areas of the country? Is there anyone out here in the area's that were mentioned?

Definitely my pleasure! :blowkiss:

Added the articles and video links.

Hi Boyz_Mum, There was a linguist on the show that spoke a bit about that. SeriouslySearching made a comment about that the day the show aired. In her post she includes the states the linguist felt are possibilities. http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2828632&postcount=88

That's in the Dr. Phil thread. There were a few other comments regarding that in response.

Interestingly enough he fell right in with his memories-West Texas, Indiana and Colorado...maybe Oklahoma.
