A forgetful grandfather has won £200,000 in Australia after he accidentally bought three tickets for the same lottery draw.
The unnamed Sydney man bought a ticket before going abroad to celebrate his 60th birthday, reports Sky News.
Fearing the ticket was for the wrong draw, he asked a friend to buy a lottery ticket with the same numbers.
On his return from holiday, he was concerned his friend had not bought the right ticket, so bought a third.
He was one of 20 with the winning numbers. If he had stuck with just the one ticket, his winnings would have been only about £74,000.
