Great to read this news!

God bless this lady...."Police said they were able to make the arrest because of a woman traveling along M-52 near Oakley, who knew of the Amber Alert officials had issued regarding the missing children and noticed a car matching that description.

The woman followed the vehicle south into Shiawassee County until police stopped it.":clap::clap:

SAGINAW, Mich. — Three young girls missing in Michigan since their mother was found dead at their home have turned up safe, said Saginaw police.

They were with their estranged father, 35-year-old Jose Olguin, who is now in custody.

A tip led authorities in a neighboring county to a car where the girls and the father were discovered on Tuesday, according to police Lt. Tammy Luty.

"The children are all safe and well," Luty said.

Saginaw police found the body of 32-year-old Erica Olguin at her home Monday night after she failed to pick up her 11-year-old son at school.

Michigan State Police say the three girls whose mother was found slain in their home are safe; father in custody.
Police say they're investigating the mother's death as a homicide, and they believe 3-year-old Victoria Olguin, 5-year-old Lilliana Olguin and 9-year-old Elena Olguin were abducted by their estranged father.
The mother's body was found Monday night.
Police identified the father as 35-year-old Jose Angel Olguin.

WILX states father is in custody but has not been charged.

UPDATED 4:24 PM - SAGINAW — Three young girls whose disappearance set off a nationwide Amber Alert after their mother was found dead at their home were found safe today, authorities said.

A tip from a motorist who heard the alert led state police in nearby Shiawassee County to a car where the girls and their father were riding midday, authorities said.

"The children are all safe and well," said Saginaw police Lt. Tammy Luty.

The father had not been charged with any crime but was in police custody and being interviewed.

Saginaw police found the body of Erica Olguin, 32, at her Saginaw home Monday after she failed to pick up her 11-year-old son at school. Authorities said today they hadn't determined the exact cause of her death but Saginaw police Chief Gerald Cliff said it was a homicide.

Police then issued the Amber Alert for her daughters, Victoria, 3; Lilliana, 5; and Elena, 9.

The girls' father, Jose Olguin, 35, drove with the girls to visit relatives in Elkhart, Ind., on Monday evening before the discovery of his wife's body, police said.

Police don't know why he opted to turn around and head back north to Michigan.

"It would be hard to say. ... Impossible to speculate," Cliff said.

A woman heading south on M-52 who had heard of the disappearance because of the Amber Alert spotted the car and called state police, said Sgt. Izzy Fuentes at the agency's Corunna post.

Troopers stopped the car in Shiawassee County's Rush Township, about 25 miles south-southwest of Saginaw, shortly after noon.

"I'm just so thankful to God the children are safe. The prayers were answered," said Woodrow Wilson II, a longtime friend of Erica Olguin's family.

Wilson had used a mobile road sign to ask passing Saginaw motorists to pray for the safe return of the children. He was headed back to put up a "thank you" sign this afternoon.

"I'm glad they're all safe," said Laurence Ferris, who lives next door to the Olguin family. "I'm glad this part of it's over."

Associated Press writer David N. Goodman in Detroit contributed to this report.

So glad they found the 3 little girls safe, thanks for the update.

Thank God. I was so afraid that this would be another father who decided to commit suicide and take his children with him. How sad though that there are now 4 more little kids without a mom or dad. I really hate this.

Olguin, who pleaded guilty last month to second-degree murder in the beating death of his wife, Erica L. Olguin, will exchange that orange jumpsuit for a navy blue state Department of Corrections one that he’ll wear for at least 40 more years.

Boes sentenced Olguin, 36, to 40 to 60 years in prison for killing his wife Nov. 23, 2008, at their home at 1413 Mackinaw in Saginaw.
