UPDATE: Relatives plead for help in finding missing family

Teddy Little Light, his wife, Juliet Toineeta and their son Wyatt were last seen at a relative’s house in Crow Agency on Dec. 23, according to the Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office.

On Monday evening, investigators following an anonymous tip found the family’s 1995 Chevy pickup truck near Fort Smith.

The Search Begins

"This is a strange town, a strange county," said Undersheriff Rondell Davis. "People do things for different reasons that would be suspicious to you and me but everyone has their own reasons for doing things."

Search continues for missing Big Horn Co. family

On Tuesday family members held a press conference in Hardin, after Big Horn County officials announced they had found the 1996 Chevy Pickup belonging to the Little Light family in Fort Smith Monday at around 7 p.m.

But there is still no sign of Teddy, Juliet and Wyatt and no signs of footprints or a struggle leaving investigators searching for clues.

Right now Authorities are concentrating their search in the Fort Smith area, just off a paved road. All three were reported missing when they failed to attend a family funeral. There have been two reported sightings of Teddy in Billings, but neither have been confirmed.

The Little Lights also have another son, 3 year old Teddy Junior, who has been with his grandparents since the family disappeared.

Officials do not believe foul play is involved in the family's disappearance, Undersheriff Rondell Davis said.

Teddy Little Light was last seen at his mom's house in Crow Agency on Dec. 23, according to the Big Horn County Sheriff's Office.

LaTonna Little Light Long Soldier said her son stopped by to leave a Christmas gift for his 2-year-old son, whom she is helping raise. The little boy attended the press conference Tuesday wearing a bib that read "Daddy Rocks."

"I just hope they come home safe," Long Soldier said.

There are unconfirmed reports of Teddy being seen around New Year's Eve at Lee's Bar in Billings and also of Juliet being seen Dec. 27 at Kohl's. Big Horn County deputies followed a tip and checked the Montana Rescue Mission on Monday, but Teddy was not located, Davis said.

It is so puzzling as to why, if no foul play involved, this couple would do this to their family members!

Do you think they may have done something to the baby and so are in hiding from family & LE? Wonder why the grandmother had the 2 year old?

Thank you, BOTLOF, all efforts help.

Family Still Missing After One Month

Friday, January 23rd is the one month mark since a Big Horn County family went missing.

"Officials found the family's abandoned truck in Crow Agency earlier this month, but found no evidence that could help them locate the family. Officials are actively pursuing multiple leads, including some from out of state."

Nancy Grace did a short blurb on the case this evening, it was the first I had heard of it. Hopefully with her coverage more people will be aware and this young family can be found. Unfortunately she does not have anything about the case listed on the front page of her website.

Wow! NG discussed a case other than Caylee's? The last time I flipped on NG they were discussing what Casey has been eating in jail......

My first thought about the Little family was car accident but obvioulsy that is not the case since they found the car.

My second thought was the father killed the mother and baby and is on the run.

Gaia - "Discussed" might be a little to generous :) NG did a bulliten on the case, 30 seconds or less, leading into a commercial. Of course the rest of the show was about the Casey. That 30 second slot was enough to send me off Googling the story, so hopefully everyone else did too and someone will have the lead they need. It's a shame it isnt getting more publicity. Like I said I had never heard of it before last night on NG.

They went missing right around Christmas, maybe they were on the way to relatives' for Christmas? It's so odd that they find the truck and not them..

The search goes national:

http://www.kulr8.com/news/local/38583882.html

"BILLINGS - Federal Investigators are hoping national news coverage about a missing family will bring new leads. The case of a missing Big Horn County family was featured on CNN's Headline News program "Nancy Grace" Tuesday night. Thirty-year-old Teddy Little Light, his wife, 25-year-old Juliet and their now 4-month-old son, Wyatt, were last seen December 23rd. They hope the national attention will help."

Has this family been found?

I have Googled and Googled and havent found anything outside of the initial reports that we have posted here. ZERO media coverage past late January. I would really like an update....does anyone out there have one?

pdf file shows good pictures of the family.

The family was reported missing when Teddy Little Light's grandmother passed away Dec. 29 and they did not show for the funeral on Jan. 3, 2009.
Their pick up found abandoned, but in running order miles away.
No one seems to think they would have got out and started walking, not with a 3 month old baby.
No sign of them found, after many searches.

Reward offered for information that helps find missing family

Relatives of the missing Little Light family announced today that they are offering a reward for information leading their whereabouts. The reward fund, established through Wells Fargo in Billings, contains about $1,200 gathered by family members. Amica Morning, Juliet's cousin, said that several fundraisers are planned this month to add to the fund and family members will be giving over a portion of their paychecks each month. On May 17, a Fishing Derby will be held in Fort Smith and a basketball tournament is planned for May 18-23 at the Crow School multipurpose room. All proceeds will go to the reward fund.
"We're asking for people who have any kind of information, anything, to come forth," said Ann LaFountain, Juliet's grandmother. "It just may be the key that brings this family back to us."
