NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Investigators say more human remains have been found in far eastern Cleveland County.

Bones were discovered Jan. 9 within a mile of 170th Avenue Southeast and Cemetery Road. Undersheriff Rhett Burnett said about 85% of the body's skeleton was recovered.

Burnett says the bones were turned over to the medical examiner's office.

A dog in the area brought home a human skull on Christmas Day. About two weeks later, deputies found the additional remains about a mile from the home.

Investigators believe the remains are those of an adult male.

Burnett says the remains haven't been identified and investigators don't know if the death was a homicide, by natural causes or suicide. He says the case is being treated as a homicide.

NORMAN, Oklahoma – Cleveland County detectives are seeking the public's help in identifying who may have information in the death of a Norman man.

The skeletal remains of Cory J. Bodily "Stone," were found by detectives in January 2009. Detectives were searching the roadway near the land where a skull had been found on December 25, 2008, when they discovered the remains of a male subject later identified as Bodily.

Detectives are seeking information from anyone who may have been with Bodily or may have seen anyone with Bodily on or about July 30, 2008, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 11 p.m.

Bodily was last seen alive on July 30, 2008 at about 10 a.m. when he was seen picking up his paycheck from the Taco Bell located on W. Lindsay Street in Norman.

NORMAN, Okla. -- Cleveland County investigators are asking for the public's help to find out how a 31-year-old man died.

Cory Bodily's skull was dug up by a dog in eastern Cleveland County on Christmas Day in 2008. Undersheriff Rhett Burnett said Bodily's sister reported him missing in July 2008, five months before his remains were found.

The Oklahoma Medical Examiner's office has not been able to determine how Bodily died but ruled it a homicide.

Deputies had found the rest of Bodily’s remains in a drainage ditch near 171st Avenue SE and Cemetery Road. His wallet and ID were nearby, and the medical examiner confirmed the remains were Bodily’s...

Deputies say they recently have identified some “persons of interest” who may have information about what happened to Bodily. They think there are others who may know something who have not come forward...

Investigators say Bodily may have owed someone money, and he may have been followed after he picked up his paycheck. No money was found in his wallet.

Two arrested in 2008 Norman cold case.

NORMAN, Okla. (KOKH) — Two people have been arrested in connection to the 2008 death of a Norman man.

The Cleveland County Sheriff's Office says that Bobby Lee Perkins and Libby Lavonne Cox face complaints in connection to the death of Cory Jay Bodily.

According to the Cleveland County Sheriff’s affidavit, one other person who has not been identified shot Bodily with a .22 caliber rifle. The unnamed suspect was upset because he believed the victim broke into his vehicle and stole money from him.

Perkins and the suspect took Bodily to a wooded area, covering him with dirt and tree limbs, the report said.

Cox said Bodily did not die from his gunshot wound, but was killed when Perkins struck him in the head with a tool. The Oklahoma State Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Cory died from blunt force trauma.
