"At this point, I don't think we are looking for her alive," said Cook's sister Melissa Ray on Monday afternoon. "Sherry likes to walk, and no one has seen her walking around. She isn't answering her phone, either."Cook, 28, who has mental disabilities, was last seen about 9:30 p.m. Jan. 10 at the Jackson Transit Authority Downtown Transfer Station, at 431 E. Main St. Someone saw her leaving the bus stop with a man, Ray said.
Capt. Mike Holt said Monday that Jackson police decided to use A Child is Missing Inc. - an automated telephone system that calls homes and businesses in the area to solicit information - to help find Cook."
