Attorney Jose Baez wants all of the fingerprint-related evidence and any DNA reports that show Casey&#8217;s former fiancé Jesse Grund was not Caylee&#8217;s Father. He also wants Material regarding the decomposing hair that was found in the trunk of Casey&#8217;s car.
The Orange County Corrections Departments also filed a motion. It wants clarification about when Casey Anthony is required to attend court hearings.

News releases spark 'surreal' legal spat in Casey Anthony case

The Sentinel contacted Baez on Wednesday to inquire about the letter, which seems to contradict earlier statements from both Baez and Black.

In a Sept. 4 news release, Black wrote that Press Corps Media "has been retained by The Baez Law Firm to coordinate any and all media inquiries."

Baez himself, in an October news conference he held to address statements Black made about the case on CNN Headline News, said, "He [Black] does not have any legal opinions whatsoever. He's simply a spokesman for our firm."

WESH-Channel 2 reported that an announcement of a public memorial for Caylee is being delayed until George Anthony recovers. He remains under psychiatric evaluation in Daytona Beach.

WFTV-Channel 9 caught a glimpse of Jose Baez, Casey Anthony's attorney, as he arrived to teach his first course at Florida A&M University. Anchor Martie Salt also bragged: "Channel 9 will be first to bring you every development in the case against Casey."
Let's hope those developments mean something.

Casey Anthony will be present for a motion hearing on Friday as a judge rules on several motions filed by her defense team.
The motions include the defendant's motion to inspect crime scene, defendant's amended application for subpeona duces tecum and the defense's request that the State Attorney's Office's be recused from the case.
The trial status regarding a trial date will also be discussed during the hearing.

GEORGE ANTHONY MAY BE RELEASED FRIDAY

Casey Anthony's father, George, could be released from a hospital in Daytona Beach as soon as Friday. Brad Conway, said George will likely be transferred to another hospital closer to his east Orange County home.

Anthony recently signed a waiver of appearance, which essentially states that she voluntarily chooses not to attend Friday's court hearing. But Strickland said he fears the written waiver may invite future problems, so he ordered her to attend.
Meanwhile, Brad Conway, the attorney for Anthony's parents, George and Cindy Anthony, said George Anthony could possibly be released from a hospital later Thursday.

WESH talked to defense attorney Richard Hornsby for expert legal analysis, and he weighed in on Casey's appearances in court.
"I would want my client, and I do want my client, to know my every legal move I make ... so they cannot claim they did not know what was going on," Hornsby told Kealing.
Hornsby questioned why Baez was fighting to let Anthony stay out of court. "The only logic I can personally see in something like this is if you're trying to keep your client isolated so they don't know what's going on, so they don't know the big picture," Hornsby said.
WOFL also reported that the Caylee Anthony doll, the source of controversy, is being sold by other names. Will that make a difference?

A former Los Angeles Police homicide detective does not believe the woods where Caylee Anthonys&#8217; remains were found are the first place someone left her after she died.

&#8220;When the body was put in the trunk of her car, the body was decomposed,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We do know that there is soil that&#8217;s in the trunk of the car. That&#8217;s important because that means the child either has to be in contact with soil, where moisture that holds soil onto the bag or it was immersed in some kind of soil, taken out and put in the trunk.&#8221;
