A woman who was bound and gagged during a robbery, managed to free her foot and call emergency services.
The woman, a manager of a cheque-cashing shop in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, had been tied up by an armed robber.
The man had approached her as she opened for business before forcing her inside at gunpoint. The man ordered her to open the safe, tied her up and escaped with what police called "a substantial amount" of cash.
Officers said the woman struggled for a time until she finally got one leg free. She then somehow used her foot to grab a telephone and pull it to her.
She then used her toe to dial 911 - the US number for emergency services, says the Daily News.
