Casey's Birthday In Jail

Excerpt...

The jail says she did not ask permission to receive any packages, but her father George deposited $100 into her jail account Wednesday.

Her 22nd birthday didn't seem so special either, but was riddled with dark thoughts. Investigators said, on St. Patrick's Day last year, she Googled "how to make Chloroform," "neck breaking," "shovel," "household weapons," and "self defense." Two days after her birthday, she researched household ingredients used to make chloroform, missing children's websites and Googled the 100th episode of the TV show One Tree Hill, where the plotline included a nanny kidnapping a toddler.

Investigators believe, at this time last year, she could've been hatching her plan to kill Caylee. Her mother had just refused to babysit Caylee while Casey wanted vacation with friends in Puerto Rico.

Reports of missing pages of Casey Anthony’s diary have surfaced and allege these pages had notes about chloroform, pesticides, and a motive for the murder of her daughter, 2-year-old Caylee Anthony.
In the portion of the diary released to the public last month, Anthony writes, “…no regrets, just a bit worried… I completely trust my own judgment and know that I made the right decision… This is the happiest I have been in a long time.”
On Wednesday, Nancy Grace Show producer, Natisha Lance reported that the alleged missing diary entries say the murder of Caylee was a mercy killing to protect her from her grandmother, Cindy Anthony.

Casey Anthony's Grandma: 'I Wondered If She Hated Her Mom More Than She Loved Caylee'
POSTED: Friday, March 20, 2009
UPDATED: 12:22 pm EDT March 20, 2009
<snipped>
Hundreds of pages of documents were released Friday in the discovery phase of the first-degree murder case of Casey Anthony, who is charged with killing her daughter.

The documents included transcripts of several conversations between investigators and people who knew Casey Anthony, including one with her maternal grandmother, Shirley Plesea, which took place in August 2008.

Plesea describes the instances when Casey Anthony stole money from her and goes into detail about Cindy Anthony's relationship with her daughter and her granddaughter.
"She (Cindy) would give her life for Caylee," Plesea said. "If she could not believe Casey, believe in Casey, she'd have to accept that fact that Caylee might be dead, or would be dead, or whatever."

"I don't not want to think that Casey -- or that Caylee -- isn't alive, but I just wondered if she hated her mom more than she loved Caylee," Plesea said.
At the time, months before Caylee's remains were discovered, Plesea said it would take something drastic for Casey Anthony to be honest about what happened to Caylee.

"She probably needs somebody to threaten her, personally. You know I hate to think of her being put in jail with them women that's going to beat the hell out of her, but it might do her some good," Pleasea said.

Included in the release:
Dora the Explorer backpack: Investigators collected a sealed box containing the backpack to process it for latent fingerprints. Inside the front pocket of the backpack, they found a violet light-colored comb, Spider-Man toothpaste and Reach toothbrush. Inside the backpack itself, two pull-up diapers were found and one pack of Nice'n Toddler wipes. No latent prints were found, but swab samples were obtained

Vehicle Reinspection: A supplemental inspection of Casey Anthony's car was made in the forensics garage of the sheriff's office on Jan. 2 before the vehicle was moved to the evidence unit. The trunk was vacuumed, and the filter was submitted as evidence.

Snake Collected: On Jan. 6, an investigator met with Detective Yuri Melich to collect a snake that was found in the area where the remains of Caylee Anthony were found. The man who reported the finding of the snake had placed it in an old refrigerator inside a plastic bag and frozen.

Meanwhile, Anthony turned 23 years old on Thursday, a birthday she spent almost entirely in her 12.5-by-7-foot cell.
Anthony had a visit scheduled with her lawyer on her birthday, but it's not known if they met.

Padilla interested in remains property
Last Edited: Friday, 20 Mar 2009, 9:32 AM EDT

Celebrity Bounty Hunter Leonard Padilla is interested in purchasing the land up for sale where the remains of 2-year-old Caylee Anthony were discovered in December.
The asking price for the land is almost $90,000. Last year, Padilla put up $500,000 to get Caylee's mother, Casey, out of jail.

"It's vacant land on the east side of town. It's a good sized lot on a nice street," Channing Harrison said who is a longtime Central Florida real estate agent who isn’t involved in the sale.

"It's got a little bit of an added stigma to it," Harrison said. "It's probably going to take a little longer than usual for someone to step forward and put a serious offer in. It's going to take a unique buyer."

Casey Anthony nearly caused parents to lose house, grandmother says

Grandmother Shirley Plesea told investigators Casey Anthony may have stolen as much as $45,000 from her parents and nearly caused them to lose their home on Hopespring Drive.
"I don't think she blowed (sic) it all at once, but what was she doing all this time?" Plesea said. "She didn't have an income. She was out all the time. She always had money…"
At the time of the Plesea's interview with investigators in August, Casey Anthony had been bailed out of jail and staying at her parents' house.
Plesea told investigators she wished Casey had been left in jail and worried for the family's safety.

The documents include an analysis from an agent with the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation about text messages Casey Anthony sent to her friend Amy Huizenga in late June, before Caylee's disappearance became public.
- A duplicate of an earlier released interview between private investigator Dominic Casey and Sheriff's Office Sgt. John Allen and FBI Agent Nick Savage. It's the same interview where Dominic Casey told the investigators that ABC paid for George Anthony and Cindy Anthony to stay at The Ritz-Carlton hotel in Orlando.

- Transcribed interview with Cindy Anthony's co-workers.
Charles Crittenden told Sheriff's Office detectives that after Casey Anthony left home in mid-June, Cindy Anthony told co-workers she had been texting Casey, but hadn't really talked on the phone with her. Cindy Anthony told her peers that she wanted to talk to Caylee, but Casey always gave her an excuse why she could not.

Bounty hunter wants to buy land where Caylee's remains were found
Amy L. Edwards | Sentinel Staff Writer

<snipped>
Karen Wonsetler, the attorney who represents the Chickasaw Oaks Phase Three Homeowners Association, said the community is "absolutely against" the bounty hunter's idea to turn the land into a memorial for Caylee Marie.
"If we have a shrine literally in the middle of our association, it's going to encourage unwanted traffic, unwanted attention," she said. "We do not want this."
Wonsetler said if the land was purchased and allowed to be turned into a permanent memorial, it would further burden the neighborhood.

California bounty hunter Leonard Padilla just told the Orlando Sentinel he wants to buy the land where Caylee Marie Anthony's remains were found.
Padilla said he has made a $50,000 offer on the land, which is for sale, but hasn't heard back from the real estate agent. Padilla said the property owner is asking $89,000 for the tract.
Padilla wants the site to be a memorial for Caylee, whose remains were found there in December.

Documents: Money Stolen To Buy Caylee's B-Day Cake
Posted: 9:46 am EDT March 20, 2009
Updated: 12:22 pm EDT March 20, 2009
<snipped>
Casey Anthony bought Caylee's birthday cake with the stolen money and George Anthony took out a credit card out in his wife's name according to allegations made in documents made public Friday.
The hundreds of pages of documents not only shed new light on the case against Casey, but also the Anthony family.

Plesea is Cindy Anthony's mother and she told investigators during the August interview that, about a month after Casey's arrest, Casey had stolen $45,000 from her mother Cindy, possibly through taking out credit cards in Cindy's name and that Casey's father George also took out credit cards in Cindy's name.
Casey's grandmother Shirley also wondered aloud whether Casey hated her mother Cindy more than she loved her daughter Caylee.

The sheriff's also released more crime scene reports and evidence forms as well as transcripts with a man whose wallet happened to be found in the remains area and a transcript of an interview with a friend who smoked marijuana with Casey.

Investigators spoke to Charles Crittenden, a co-worker of Cindy Anthony at Gentiva Home Health, on November 24, 2008. He told investigators that Cindy never mentioned any problems she was having regarding financial issues at home.
"As far as I knew everything was fine you know," he told investigators.
Crittenden told investigators that Cindy was told by Casey that Caylee was in Tampa.
"And you know some of the bizarre stories sounded really bizarre to us," he said, adding that he believed Cindy was accepting what Casey was telling her.

The report from the jail security officers who witnessed Casey's reaction on December 11th, when she found out that Caylee's remains likely were found down the street from her house, was released Friday, but all the information was blacked out. The defense wants the jail video from that day and all information sealed a hearing has not yet been scheduled to discuss that.

Casey Anthony case: "Today" asks if defense is softening her image
posted by halboedeker on Mar 20, 2009 8:54:57 AM
<snipped>
Do you see a softer Casey Anthony emerging?
On this morning's "Today," Kerry Sanders offered analysis that the defense team was showing its strategy. Anthony, who turned 23 on Thursday, is charged with the first-degree murder of her daughter, Caylee.

The defense team evidently will attack the state's forensics work by stressing that Dr. Henry Lee found 17 other hairs in Casey's car trunk, Sanders said.

Casey's look will be crucial, too. Sanders talked to a jury consultant who observed that the defense team seems to be trying to give Anthony emotion and make her look like a mom who lost her child.
Is that doable? Can you give someone emotion? Doesn't that have to be inside the person?
Sanders also touched on another issue: Should the roadside memorial to Caylee come down?

Padilla Deposition Next Week In Casey Anthony's Civil Case Postponed Until May
POSTED: Friday, March 20, 2009
UPDATED: 2:35 pm EDT March 20, 2009

Meanwhile, Padilla said his deposition next week in Casey Anthony's civil case has been postponed until May. Gonzalez's attorney, John Morgan, wants to depose Casey Anthony's parents, George and Cindy Anthony, prior to deposing the bounty hunter, according to Padilla.

Gonzalez, who shares the same name as the woman Casey Anthony said she left Caylee with before they vanished, filed a defamation lawsuit against Casey Anthony, saying she lost her job and her reputation was ruined because she was linked to the case.
Gonzalez is seeking $15,000 in damages.

Who is Caylee Anthony's father?
Last Edited: Friday, 20 Mar 2009, 6:00 PM EDT

- New documents released Friday shed light on who Caylee’s father may be. For the first time we're hearing from this woman named Melina Calbrese. In an interview with Orange County Sheriff’s Office Captain Yuri Melich on October 9, 2008, she says she's been close friends with Casey since middle school.

Melina says she thought Caylee's father was Jessie Grund, Casey’s former fiancé, until the couple broke up. By then Caylee was 9 months old. Calabrese says that's when Casey told her Caylee's father is "a really hot guy" named Josh from Georgia who she met at Universal Studios. Calabrese says Casey had a one night stand with josh at a hotel near universal studios and caylee was conceived. Josh had a girlfriend he was planning on marrying and already had a child.

Casey Anthony told Calabrese the same story she told her mother.caylee's father is dead, killed in a car accident around the time of caylee's second birthday.

Casey did have a rest in peace memorial to a guy named Josh on her facebook page. But Josh was not from Georgia. Fox 35 did find an obituary for a "Josh". At this point we're still not sure who Caylee's dad is. In sworn testimony last month Casey’s brother lee told lawyers he didn't know with 100 percent certainty who Caylee's dad was and neither do investigators.

Casey knows who the father of Caylee is and just will not say because this is her way of having control over things.
She knows she killed caylee to and all this is just a power play to her. She beleives she in control of things as she is controlling Cindy, George and Lee.
Its all a game and away of life to her.
I think she is enjoying it all..
