This Saturday, April 25th, there is going to be a worldwide rally to speak out against the abduction of African children, forced to become child soldiers. Tens of thousands of children have been forced to kill their families, then abducted and turned into child soldiers for Kony's Lord's Resistance Army in Uganda and surrounding regions.
At Saturday's RESCUE (in 100 cities worldwide), we are going to "abduct" ourselves and set up our own LRA camp. We will stay there overnight, waiting to be rescued. In each cities, people have have been contacting politicians, celebrities, and local public figures to ask them to come out, to speak out. We will stay abducted until someone comes to "rescue" us and vow to do what they can to end the abduction of children in Africa.
Kristen Bell, Kirstun Duntz, Pete Wentz, and Joel Madden are among the celebrities that will be speaking out at various Rescue events. We're still trying to get more in other cities so if you know someone... direct them to www. invisiblechildren.com
