CA CA - Evan 'Al' Snider, 34, Long Beach, 22 Oct 1976

Wow! I think he looks a lot more like BK than most of the ones we've tried to compare. There's still that 3" height difference and no mention of surgical scars for Snider, but IMO it might be worth an inquiry to Long Beach PD. We need more opinions on this one...

Seems he may have a scar on the left eye? Nose to short.

IMO, not BK. to much gap between eye brows and the eye brows curve more. wider forehead. Also seems to have a scar below the mustache on the right side of face.

IMO:
Evan Snider:
Pro: hair, maybe eyes
Con: too short, weight low, eyebrows are different shape,
possible birthmark at nape of neck.
age, would be 67 now.

And from the brief details, it sounds as if Mr Snider met with foul play.

“The oldest one we have is from 1976 for a man named Evan Snider,” Herzog said. “He was 34 years old at the time, and his name will remain in the file until we find him.”

Although Herzog and other detectives suspect that Snider, and possibly others, may have been a victim of serial killer Randy Kraft — an incarcerated Long Beach born man also known as “Scorecard Killer” or “Freeway Killer” — they haven’t been able to prove that or locate Snider or his remains.

Details of Disappearance
Snider was last seen at the apartment building he owned on Cedar Avenue, south of Willow Street, in Long Beach, California on October 22, 1976. He has never been heard from again. After his disappearance, an unknown individual found his wallet and gave it to his brother.

Snider's gold two-door 1971 Datsun 1200 with the California license plate number 170CFG was found, stripped and abandoned, in the 1600 block of Cedar Avenue on December 1. This was several blocks away from where he was last seen. His mail had been taken and someone had forged his signature to get access to his bank accounts. His disappearance remains unsolved.

it has all the indications of being either a settling of accounts, theft or foul play...
either way rest in peace

Circumstances of Disappearance

Snider took a leave of absence from work. He visited a friend in San Francisco, returned to Long Beach, but was not seen by his family. Snider's brother received Snider's wallet from an unknown person who found the wallet. The brother reported him missing and Snider's car, described as a gold, two door, 1971 Datsun 1200 sedan with California plate number 170CFG, was later found several blocks away, near one of his rental properties, stripped. Evan's mail had been taken and someone had forged his signature to get into his bank accounts.

Although Randy Kraft is suspected, I don't see any obvious connection between this disappearance and his scorecard.

The detail of the stolen mail and the forgery of his signature... Did Kraft ever do that before?
To be honest, I think one of his tenants may be responsible; I would like to know if LE looked for fingerprints in the car and if they interviewed the tenants.
