The bond Cindy Anthony and Crystal Sheffield share is a pain deep inside that only those who have a missing child can feel.

While George and Cindy Anthony still mourn the death of their granddaughter Caylee Marie, they spoke at the vigil to make people aware of missing children nationwide. "Coping with someone missing is the most gut wrenching, sick open wound feeling that you could ever have."

Haleigh Cummings grandmother, Marie Griffith agrees. "I can't explain to you the hurt right here. It's right here aching constantly."

"Even though we don't have Haleigh here at this moment, I know in my heart that (God) is going to bring her back to us," Griffis said.

"Coping with someone missing is the most gut-wrenching, sick, open-wound feeling you can ever, ever have," George Anthony said.

A judge will consider a motion Tuesday to dismiss the Zenaida Gonzalez slander case against Casey Anthony. Casey originally told detectives she thought a babysitter named Zenaida Gonzalez kidnapped Caylee.

A woman with the same name is suing Casey for slander in civil court. Detectives haven't been able to prove Caylee ever had a babysitter named Zenaida.

Also in the case against Casey, Orange County deputy Richard Cain will try to get his job back Tuesday.

Casey Anthony's attorneys want the defamation case against the single mother dismissed, claiming it was filed to generate publicity for a law firm with offices in Orlando.

A hearing is set for Tuesday before Orange Circuit Court Judge Jose R. Rodriguez, who is overseeing the civil case. The Morgan & Morgan law firm, which has offices in Florida, Georgia and Mississippi, is representing Zenaida Gonzalez, a 38-year-old Kissimmee mother of six.

Mitnik scoffed at the argument and added that the original complaint will be amended, adding statements Anthony told her mother, Cindy Anthony, about his client. This will make Kasen's request to dismiss the case moot.

He plans to request the judge's permission to seek punitive damages.

Casey Anthony will be back in court Tuesday for a hearing in the civil case filed by Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzales.

Anthony’s attorney Jose Baez wants the lawsuit thrown out. Baez claims that Gonzales' attorney, John Morgan, is milking the lawsuit for free publicity.

On Sunday, stations showed footage of George and Cindy Anthony attending a candlelight vigil in Lake Mary for missing Haleigh Cummings. WFTV showed Haleigh's mother, Crystal Sheffield, collapsing from emotion. About 40 people attended the vigil, WFTV said.

WKMG-Channel 6 showed footage of George and Cindy, Caylee's grandparents, talking at the event. "Coping with someone missing is the most gut-wrenching, sick, open-wound feeling that you could ever, ever have," George said.

Cindy told the family of missing Trenton Duckett, "Do not give up hope." A similar event in Leesburg called attention to Trenton.

The Orange County deputy who was accused of improperly investigating a tip that could have led to the discovery of Caylee Marie Anthony's remains resigned today.

Deputy Richard Cain submitted his resignation letter on the eve of the administrative hearing to determine whether he should be fired.

An internal investigation was completed and sheriff's officials found him negligent and untruthful.

The sheriff's office planned to fire him but Cain vowed to appeal. His final hearing was supposed to be Tuesday.

In court Tuesday Kasen will ask a judge to dismiss the case.

Anthony's lawyer in this case, Jonathan Kasen, contends Gonzalez has failed to show how Anthony has damaged the Kissimmee woman's reputation. He also questions whether Gonzalez lost her job, and failed to find new employment because of Anthony's actions.

That hearing will take place Tuesday at 10 a.m.

Casey’s parents have been present at many hearings.

According to their attorney, Brad Conway, the Anthonys have not decided and will make that decision in the morning.

Deputy Richard Cain submitted his letter of resignation to the sheriff's department on Monday. The resignation is effective on May 22.

In his letter, Cain said, "It has been an honor to serve the sheriff and citizens of Orange County."

In the case against Casey Anthony, Orange County Deputy Richard Cain submitted his letter of resignation Monday and will not appeal the discipline he was given following a professional standards investigation into allegations that he did not properly investigate a citizen’s tip relating to the Caylee Anthony investigation.

The professional standards investigation determined that Cain had violated two of the agency’s standards of conduct, unsatisfactory performance, for which he was given a 160 hour suspension, and truthfulness, for which he was terminated.

Deputy Cain joined the sheriff’s office on June 6, 2006 and was assigned to the Uniform Patrol Division.

A South Florida attorney representing Anthony will argue tomorrow for the suit's dismissal.

But Gonzalez attorney Keith Mitnik told WESH-Channel 2 that the original defamation claim is being amended and that Gonzalez's team will seek punitive damages. WESH offered a preview of what's coming tomorrow. "Mitnik tells WESH2 there could be some fireworks," anchor Jim Payne said.
