Haleigh's Dad: Case Not Like Caylee's
Ronald Cummings' Attorneys Issue News Release

UPDATED: 3:17 pm EDT May 19, 2009

PALATKA, Fla. -- Attorneys for the father of a missing 5-year-old north Florida girl issued a news release on Tuesday, saying the family of their client, Ronald Cummings, does not want "any involvement by George and Cindy Anthony in the continuing search for Haleigh Cummings."

The news release, sent by attorneys Greg Kimball and T. Jerry Snider, said "the Anthonys have their own agenda, as witnessed by their recent media tour," apparently referring to a weekend missing-children's event in Lake Mary, where the Anthonys appeared with Crystal Sheffield, Haleigh's mother.

The release said "the facts relating to the death of Caylee Anthony, which resulted in the first-degree murder charges against Casey Anthony, are in no way similar to Haleigh's disappearance."

Casey Anthony, 23, remains jailed in the death of her daughter, Caylee, whose remains were discovered in December. Caylee was 2 years old when she was reported missing in July. Casey Anthony has pleaded not guilty in the case

Ronald Cummings begged the public for help to find his missing 5-year-old daughter Haleigh Cummings in a video released last week on his lawyer's Web site.

But today he amended that message -- he wants help from everyone except Cindy and George Anthony.

"The family of Ronald Cummings, father of Haleigh Cummings, wishes to make it clear that they do not want any involvement by George and Cindy Anthony in the continuing search for Haleigh Cummings," according to a news release issued by the Kimball & Snider Law Firm, which represents Cummings. snipped
