Authorities in Orlando, Fla., are searching for a University of Central Florida graduate who did not show up for work Tuesday after she said she was going to mail a package, according to a Local 6 News report.
Investigators said Jennifer Kesse, 24, did not show up for work at Westgate Resorts in Ocoee, Fla., Tuesday morning.
Family and friends are concerned because she can always be reached by phone or by her family. Kesse's family has tried to call her cell phone but calls are immediately sent to voice mail.

Orange County deputies found the car belonging to a missing 24-year-old Orlando woman at the Huntington on the Green apartments at Americana and Texas on Thursday morning. Sheriff deputies acted on vehicle information provided from the news media.

Recently, she shared concerns about living at the condos, though she was proud she could afford the place just two years after graduating from the University of Central Florida.
"This was her pride and accomplishment, bought it by herself. She had some concerns with the maintenance crew," Kesse said.
Her boyfriend, Robert Allen, agreed saying she was uncomfortable with the workers around. The buildings had just recently been converted to condos and only a handful of residents live in her unit.
"Obviously, for me living three hours away, difficult hearing that with her saying I’m a little nervous here and there," Allen said.

Officers on horseback continued a grid search Wednesday for a missing Orlando woman who mysteriously vanished more than a week ago.<snipped)

Wednesday, teams of police officers and sheriff's deputies were searching areas inside the boundaries of Texas Avenue to the west, Orange Blossom Trail to the east, Oakridge Road to the south and Holden Avenue to the north.
It is the fourth day officers have searched on horseback in wooded areas in search of clues. <snipped>

The Kesse family is hoping to inject a new energy into the search for Jennifer. Hundreds of volunteers will take part in the biggest effort yet to find her this weekend.
In the meantime, though, police began Wednesday what they are calling a new grid search, based on tips that have been coming in. Sheriff's deputies with the mounted patrol jumped off their horses and over a fence Wednesday along Texas Avenue off of John Young Parkway after a citizen called in a tip.
With turkey vultures circling a pond, deputies wanted to be sure they weren't missing anything. It was all part of the new grid search that's using about 15 mounted patrol officers between the Orlando Police Department and the sheriff's office combined, searching further out north and south from where Jennifer’s car was found along Texas and Americana last Thursday.
The search team even scoured woods next to the pond after picking up a strange stench. It turned out to be old garbage. They said covering new ground, on foot at times and especially on horseback, opens them up to more information.

Lead detectives investigating the case say they're meeting with FDLE to compare notes and see if there is a connection to the Jennifer Kesse. Kesse is the Orlando woman who's now been missing for three years.

Jennifer Kesse lived in Orlando and worked in Ocoee when she disappeared. Knowing that, Joe Ocasio sent Kesse's father Drew a message on her website. "I pretty much explained the situation who I was , why I was contacting him. my daughter is missing. I'm grasping for straws, didn't know where else to go."

The two fathers have not spoken yet, but today Drew Kesse said he was paying attention to the case of Tracy's disappearance. "That is Jennifer's old neighborhood. She lived next door to the complex right next to the Tap Room there and frequented there. That's where she was for 3, 3 and a half years," said Kesse.

New tip in Kesse case comes from confessed murder
<snipped>
A convicted killer may have some clues in one of Central Florida’s highest profile missing person's case.

Jennifer Kesse has been missing for three years. There have been very few clues concerning her disappearance.

But two weeks ago the lawyer for a convicted killer contacts Drew Kesse, Jennifer’s father. While its not unusual for Kesse to get tips the latest came from a man involved ina high profile murder of a Central Florida woman.

"I think it just one more lead that has to be follow up on,” Kesse said. “If it turns out then we have something to go on."

The tip came from David Russ who is currently in the Seminole County jail waiting to be sentenced after he pled guilty for the murder of Madeline Leinen in 2007. Russ asked to meet with Drew Kesse because he claims to have information about Jennifer’s disappearance.

Kesse wouldn’t revel what the tip was about.

"I am not going to talk about the information that was relayed," Kesse said. “It's just not pertinent at this point."

The parents of missing Orlando woman Jennifer Kesse are in Tallahassee on Wednesday lobbying state lawmakers to pass a bill designed to expedite the search for missing people.

Kesse disappeared from her Orlando condominium more than two years ago. Her parents helped to craft the missing person's bill which includes new policies for entering information into a national database system.

The bill would also require that all law enforcement officers within designated regions be informed about a missing person on later than two hours after a missing persons report is filed.

Finally, the bill would require that law enforcement agencies collect DNA samples of a victim after they have been reported missing for more than ninety days.

Kesses Observe Anniversary of Daughter's Disappearance

Thursday, January 24 will mark two years since the disappearance of Jennifer Kesse. On Monday, Kesse's parents went before the Orlando City Commission to thank the city for its continuing cooperation in the search for their daughter.

"Jennifer's case has never died down. It is not cold. We still receive tips every day from multiple sources. It is all about awareness and it is keeping it going and these are the things that we try to do," said Jennifer's father Drew.

Jennifer was abducted from her Orlando condominium in 2005. Her car was recovered three days after the abduction at the Huntington on the Green Apartments in Orlando. Police, family and friends hoped that the car would be the first clue in quickly finding Jennifer.

The person was captured on a surveillance camera walking near the spot at the Huntington on the Green apartments on Americana and Texas where Jennifer's car was found. Police do not even know if the person is a man or a woman and the description remains vague.
