All things Donnie Stallworth.............I'd like to know how long he's been enlisted? Is he stationed nearby? Has he been released to LE now by the Air Force?

Monday, one of the suspects, Air Force Sgt. Donnie Ray Stallworth, had a probable cause hearing in Escambia County, Ala.

The airman, who is stationed near Pensacola at Hurlburt Field, the Air Force's special operations command, turned himself in to authorities in Brewton, Ala., and is fighting extradition to Florida.

Court officials said Monday that he will remain in Alabama pending an extradition hearing, which hasn't been scheduled.

Donnie Ray Stallworth Jr. entered the home of Byrd and Melanie Billings with a gun, according to another suspect in the case of the murdered Pensacola couple, a Florida sheriff's investigator testified Monday.

During a probable cause hearing for Stallworth, a Brewton native who turned himself in to local authorities and has declined to waive extradition to Florida, investigator Terry Hardy said suspect Wayne Coldiron identified Stallworth from a photo lineup as one of the other participants in the crime.

A woman who friends said was Stallworth’s wife posted a message on her Myspace page, thanking friends for their support and asking for prayers.

She said Stallworth had been working two jobs — including bagging groceries — to help support the family. A mechanic with Air Force Special Operations Command who was stationed at Hurlburt Field, he has been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan six times in the past seven years, according to the Myspace page and published reports.

Although he was part of the Special Ops, Air Force officials have said Stallworth did not participate in ground combat while deployed and only had standard combat training.

Judgment against Stallworth, Eglin CU, 2008:

http://officialrecords.clerkofcourts.cc/oncoreweb/ShowDetails.aspx?id=9222859&direct=1

The Stallworths separated when Donnie Ray Jr. was young, according to family friends. But many people in Brewton described both parents as wonderful people. Brenda Stallworth is a longtime worker at the county Department of Human Resources. Donnie Ray Stallworth Sr. runs a used car lot in Milton, Fla.

Escambia County, Ala., Sheriff Grover Smith said he works with Brenda Stallworth and described her as a fine person, and said he has known Donnie Ray Stallworth Sr. for some 30 years, describing him as a friend.

Many who know the younger Donnie Ray were puzzled at how a popular young man could have been part of a well-rehearsed, deadly attack.

From the Northwest Florida Daily News:

Hurlburt Field public affairs confirmed Tuesday that Stallworth is a staff sergeant with the 1st Special Operations AC Maintanence Squadron. He joined the Air Force in February 2000 and arrived at Hurlburt in June of the same year. Stallworth was a support section supervisor. He and his family had come in second place in a base-sponsored Christmas lights decorating contest in 2007, according to information on Eglin Air Force Base's Web site.

“The Air Force will cooperate with the Escambia County Sheriff's Office,” said Lt. Mark Lazane with Hurlburt. “The Air Force will support them with whatever information they require from us.”

From the link:

Donnie Ray Stallworth Sr. runs a used car lot in Milton, Fla.

I've never read this before...

I did not want to link too much to other people's Myspace, but he has comment there that he had orders to Cannon AFB, NM, deferred on the basis of his wife's child needing to complete high school, and was looking for permanent cancellation, so he wanted to stay at current base, Hurlbert Field. The reason the indebtedness is important (and he also has child support orders of $500/mo to another woman, not his wife, from Okaloosa County, FL) is that if you don't keep up with your finances, you can get an involuntary discharge). Air Force spokesman have, of course, said they are waiting on all civil authorities to play out and are not planing any action against Stallworth at this time.

Mr. Stallworth Sr. does not RUN a lot in Milton. He worked at a dealership in Pensacola as a salesman up until last week. Just FYI )

Air Force spokesman have, of course, said they are waiting on all civil authorities to play out and are not planing any action against Stallworth at this time.

FYI, you can't get a bad conduct disharge (BCD) for finances. A BCD can only be done for criminal charges under the Uniformed Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). Having problems with your finances can get you kicked out, but would be under an administrative process with an administrative discharge with the possible discharge types of a) honorable, b) under honorable conditions (aka general discharge), or c) an other than honorable (aka OTH) discharge. I was in the Judge Advocate General Corps (JAGC) for many years.

Here is a post I put under the other DRS section... it was created at the same time as this one, so I am reposting here. Can someone ask a moderator to delete the other section?? I am new and don't know how all of the works (thanks in advance).

DS Sr Arson, notice the home town=Brewton (Escambia Co Alabama, where DS was arrested).

Remember PLW had arson investigation on one of her Georgia properties.

If there is a link here, here is some background I found for DS Sr and DS Jr. Looks like both have had some domestic and financial troubles:

DS Sr in Santa Rosa County:
DS Sr has AGGRAVATED ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON : http://www2.myfloridacounty.com/ccm/...84becb94f756d8

DS Sr has a domestic violence charge: http://www2.myfloridacounty.com/ccm/...68cc458337bd77

DS Sr has a civil case about insurance: http://www2.myfloridacounty.com/ccm/...1fba08fe30002e

DS Sr has a financial case: http://www2.myfloridacounty.com/ccm/...eb7edeafe381ac

Okaloosa Records:
DS Jr has a case that looks like a child support case: http://officialrecords.clerkofcourts...i=1&ref=search

DS Jr has a judgment by Eglin Federal Credit Union: http://officialrecords.clerkofcourts...i=1&ref=search

DS Sr Marriage and DOB http://officialrecords.clerkofcourts...i=1&ref=search

He is stationed at Hurlbert Field, not Eglin.

I don't think we should be linking information from DS Sr. He is not one of the suspects.

He is stationed at Hurlbert Field, not Eglin.

Sorry. Hurlbert is mentioned a dozen times, yet somehow, I fixated on this and got 'Eglin' on my brain instead. Doh.

"He and his family had come in second place in a base-sponsored Christmas lights decorating contest in 2007, according to information on Eglin Air Force Base's Web site."

I will go correct both this and the discharge info as well. Thanks to all for keeping the facts straight!

This is the first I have heard this:
Meanwhile, in a separate search warrant, it was revealed investigators went on to Eglin Air Force Base to search a vehicle owned by Donnie Stallworth Jr., he's the Air Force Staff Sergeant, suspected in the case, who's fighting extradition from Alabama.

Investigators say they found four 12-gauge shotgun shells in his SUV along with one pair of black gloves and two black stocking caps.

That perp walk pic of him looks like someone who is remorseful. But then, I'm not a great judge of character and just like to stick to the facts for that reason! I wonder if he had a drug problem that overcame him?
