Eugene police are seeking the publics help in identifying a man whose body was found in the Willamette River on Sunday.
Foul play is not suspected in the mans death, but Eugene police detectives and the state medical examiners office have been unable to identify him. His body was found by firefighters during a training exercise on the river near the Autzen footbridge.
He is described as a white male in his 50s or 60s. He was about 5-feet-6-inches tall and 150 pounds with brown eyes, deteriorated teeth, a gray beard and moustache and collar-length brownish hair.
He has no tattoos or other identifying marks. It appeared that the mans body had been in the river no more than a few days.
