Thank you for posting this! There seems to be a lot of missing people and murders that unsolved!
Has LE in the different areas even made the connection? They have all these people missing or murder, the local departments really need to talk to eachother and cooperate to solve these.

i could only find Charley pages for these two guys. Interesting to note both men are from the same town, they both typically wore a beard, were around the same age. Stephen's page has a composite drawing of the last person he was seen with.

http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/k/key_joe.html Joe Keys

http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/a/adams_stephan.html (stephen adams)

The only similarity I see is that one was giving a ride to Keys, OK, while the other's name is Key.

Addition - Joe David Key - Key was last seen in Talihina, Oklahoma on Febraury 12, 2001. He has never been heard from again. Few details are available in his case. Key, Darrell Hammons, and Jeffrey Lee Ben went missing from the same area and within a year of one another. Ben's remains were found in Pushmataha County, Oklahoma in 2006; Hammons is still missing. Photographs and vital statistics for Hammons are unavailable. It has been suggested that there is some connection between the cases, but no links have been established. All three men's disappearances remain unsolved.

Stephan Mitchell Adams- December 13, 2004 from Tahlequah, Oklahoma Adams called his girlfriend on his cellular phone at 11:00 a.m. on December 13, 2004 and told her he was giving a man a ride to Keys, Oklahoma. He was in good spirits at the time of the conversation. Authorities later determined that at the time he spoke to his girlfriend, Adams had been south of Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Someone tried to call his phone at 11:30 a.m. and it rang only once before going to voice mail; all calls after that were transferred immediately to voice mail. Between 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. he was seen at a convenience store in Cookson, Oklahoma. Adams appeared to be upset and agitated at the time. He purchased a soda, then stood outside the store for about five minutes before he left the vicinity in his pickup. He was apparently alone. He has never been heard from again. Adams was carrying a dark-colored bookbag at the time of his disappearance.

And the ones found were not very far from where they were last seen. At least two of them left their trucks. 2 of them had large amounts of cash. 4 of them have not been found.

Again, thanks for making this thread. There is much amiss all over the State of Oklahoma, especially the eastern third of it. Some of this will be off-topic and sweetheart29 has already provided a wealth of cases and things to think about. Nevertheless:

Were the parameters broadened just a bit to include US 59* as a link in many of these cases (including the Heavener/Jody Rilee-Wilson murder and the Poteau/Neff crime, the latter listed above), NE OK has two unsolved double murders within the last ten years: the notorious Freeman/Bible unsolved killings, arson, and kidnappings**, which occurred near Welch in rural Craig County, in 1999, and the 2008 Huls double homicide, also near Welch in rural Craig County. US 59 runs through Welch and Craig County.

*US 59 runs through the eastern part of Oklahoma north and south, from the Kansas line to the Texas line and, needless to say, thus links the NE part of the state with its SE section.
** most probably the case is a quadruple homicide as the girls have never been found

Heavener crime:

Freeman/Bible:

Huls:

I ment to put Jody Wilson in my list she was the woman found in Heavener I will add her now.

I hope it's ok to add Taylor Paschal-Placker and Skyla Whitaker. Murdered June 8, 2008.

This is very interesting that at least 2 of them had large amounts of cash.. i wonder if someone is luring them online with the promise of a possible sale of something via Craiglist?

Out of the victims, how many of them drove trucks? (this is probably more coincidence than important, i guess you never know though..)

This is what I have so far... Not much.

Locust Grove Girl Scout Camp murders (Sunday, June 12, 1977) Children/raped/Bludgeoned/strangled

Freeman/Bible murders, arson, and kidnapping near Welch (Thursday, December 30, 1999) Children/shot in head
Danny and Kathy Freeman Murdered before the daughter and friend. Jeremy Bryan Jones admits to killing them all to Sooter.
----Jeremy Bryan Jones was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on April 12th 1973--- http://www.freewebs.com/jeremy-jones/whoisjeremyjones.htm (Strange)
I'm curious how often Jones visited 'home.'

Huls double homicide, near Welch (Sunday, November 2008) At home/ does not say if items stolen or not?

Jody Rilee-Wilson murder, Heavener (May 5th - May 8, 2009) (Husband took 3 month old baby 600 miles away - could this be for alibi? was she already dead when he left?)

Joe Neff murder, Poteau (Thursday, May 14, 2009) Home, items stolen

Pastor Carol Daniels murder, Anadarko (Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009) Killed in a church, body staged, sexual, knife attack

Jamison family disappearance near Red Oak (Saturday, October 8th, 2009) Driving, cash in truck, bodies missing

Darrol Hammons, Talahini (info?)

I'm curious if there are any reported break-ins or strangers hitchhiking or knocking on doors in those areas? I'm also curious if there may be panhandlers in the area. If the Denney's would be the kind of people to invite a homeless man to spend xmas with them?

Thats the feeling I get.
Focusing on these crimes as I don't feel the others have relation.

Great job, mayelf.

Let me just add that, based on proximity of location alone, the Freeman/Bible and Huls cases might be considered together. I'm within twenty minutes of both locations and, in this area, absolutely no one believes that Jeremy Jones was responsible for the Freeman/Bible atrocity---rather, it's felt, he was just seeking to enhance his prison rep and perhaps get a chance to travel with LE back to this area to "assist them with their investigation" while meanwhile positioning himself for a better chance to escape. The timeline of possibility that night for Jones to have done the crimes is stretched very thin.

It has also long been felt by some in this area that the Freeman/Bible case may have had a degree of LE participation. Carry that over nine years and the Huls homicides, in the same county, can also become tinged with that thought. Not saying any of this is true at all, but it does give a sense of what Oklahomans have come to regard as being within the realm of possibility.

I agree, though, that the likelihood is stronger that the Huls and Denney cases are related, based on the isolated locations and the killings both involving older couples.

i could even think we could break it down one more step and those would divide into home invasions vrs out of the home.

Do we have any leads on any of these crimes? We could see if one lead for another crime would fit into another

I've found very few leads (other than hearsay) about the NE OK portion of these crimes. The deplorable state of journalism in Oklahoma unfortunately precludes much gathering of information. One good source is the nearby Joplin MO Globe, which has covered many of the cases within its delivery region; the link below includes a search feature for older stories.

In terms of the home v. away from home, from your list of possibly connected cases:

HOME:
Freeman/Bible: the crimes occurred at a rural trailer home.
Denney: rural residence---not sure if it was a trailer or permanent structure.
Huls: again, a rural residence, a permanent structure.
Neff: Mr. Neff is believed to have been taken from his bar in a rural region.

Here's the WS link for OK media outlets; I included in the last post (so far) three SE OK links:

I am curious why in the Denney article it states they don't believe the two are connected even though the murderer shot them in the head, execution style (from another article), and same caliber of weapon.

They are both so similar. They both were active in the christian church. (Could they have gone to the same church?) They were both known to be very giving to the community. They both were murdered on a Sunday.

Were they both retired?

Mr. Denney was retired; Mrs. Denney was a housewife. Mr. Huls had become severely mentally disabled after a reaction to medication five years before his death; his wife had recently retired from the medical profession.

Evidently, forensics didn't match up in terms of the weapons. But there are many in OK who will opine that LE in general here, and the OSBI in particular, could not put two and two together on a day in which all other numbers except for the number 4 had ceased to exist.

I also think OSBI may have its own theories about each case, particularly the Huls'. But they can't prosecute as they can't prove it.
