"A judge sentenced a Palm Bay man to two years in prison for strangling his toddler son nearly to death over a soiled diaper.

As part of a deal with prosecutors, Miguel Alejandro Torres de la Rosa, 24, also will serve 13 years on probation after pleading guilty to second-degree felony aggravated child abuse in connection with the March 13 incident.

He gave up his parental rights to the 2-year-old and a 4-year-old daughter, prosecutors said."

You havbe to know that part of the plea deal was giving up his parental rights. That was the best possible gift he could have given these innocents. He should be restricted from procreating during his probation time as well JMO.

People should have to pass a test in order to become parents! What an idiot, to try to kill his own child for having a natural body function...
In 2 years he'll be back in the world, probably making more babies...it just isn't right.
