Detectives with the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office are renewing their efforts to find woman who has been missing for months.

Kristal Forest, 64, disappeared back in March.

She was moving from Cottonwood to Austin, Texas, but she never arrived at her destination.

Detectives believe a man named Robert Reed might have had something to do with Forest's disappearance.

Reed is currently serving time on unrelated charges and is not cooperating with the search for Forest.

Investigators said Forest's U-Haul trailer was towed by an unknown person to a storage yard in Las Cruces, N.M. in April.

If you know anything about Forest's disappearance or if you saw her or Reed between March 28 and April 2, you're asked to contact Yavapai County authorities.

LAS CRUCES -- The public is asked for any information on a missing Arizona woman whose trailer was abandoned last April in Las Cruces.

Kristal Forest, 64, her dogs and her property disappeared over the weekend of March 28, 2009, and haven't been seen or heard from since, according to the Criminal Investigations Bureau of the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office in Prescott, Ariz.

Forest was moving from Cottonwood, Ariz., to Austin, Texas, but never arrived.

A Camp Verde, Ariz., man, Robert Reed, 55, who also went by the name Charles Olson -- especially on Craigslist -- or "Chef Charlie," had recently befriended Forest and was seen assisting with the move, possibly traveling with Forest for part of the trip. Reed, who reportedly has been uncooperative with detectives throughout the investigation, is 6-feet 2-inches tall, weighing about 250 pounds, with curly blond hair and blue eyes. Known as a homeless person who frequented Cottonwood, Dead Horse Ranch State Park, the Verde Valley and Phoenix, Ariz., he sometimes grew his hair to a medium length and grew a scruffy beard, police said.

CAMP VERDE -- Judge Michael Bluff has been asked to consider several motions in the case of 59-year-old Robert Stuart Reed, a drifter, who is believed to have killed Kristal Forest at the end of March 2009 while the two were traveling together to Texas in the woman's Nissan Pathfinder. The motions will be heard during a three-hour hearing April 8.

The motions include a defense motion to consider dismissal of count one, a second-degree murder charge, based on jurisdiction and venue.

The remains of Kristal Forest, 65, of Cottonwood, who went missing in 2009, were found last week near El Paso, Texas...

Last month, Reed pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in Forest's case.

As a condition of the plea, Reed told YCSO detectives where they could find Forest's remains, which were located outside El Paso, Texas. Testing must still be done to confirm the identity of the remains, but based on Reed's description, they are "confident" that the remains are those of Forest, YCSO Lt. Tom Boelts said.
