SPOKANE, Wash.- Police are investigating the discovery of a body that was found in the 1400 block of north Summit Blvd. Saturday afternoon. Police say the body was severely decomposed and could have been at the location for weeks if not months

Neighbors say in the past, they have seen transients in the area. Investigators say the body could be a transient. The person could have died of natural causes but they do not know yet.

"At this point, we can't rule out a crime so therefore we are investigating it to rule out any sort of foul play," said Spokane Major Crimes Sergeant Mark Griffiths.

The Spokesman-Review

A body of a man was discovered Saturday in a makeshift homeless camp in west central Spokane.

Detectives with the Spokane Police Major Crimes unit were called to the scene in 1400 block of Summit Boulevard, about 2 p.m., after a man riding his bicycle found the body.

Nothing listed in NamUs that would match this and also nothing matching listed at the Spokane County link Donjeta linked above. I wonder if the man was identified?
