A man who claimed he could lead investigators to the body of a missing Gillette man has pleaded guilty to a charge of false reporting to authorities.

Jason Duane Larson, 30, of Chester, Iowa, entered his plea Wednesday during his arraignment in Circuit Court.

Larson told the judge he had a dream in which he helped bury the body of Roy Vavra, a 38-year-old fence builder who disappeared in January 2006.

Vavra Roy George - Division of Criminal Investigation

Missing Person, January 24, 2006, Campbell County, Wyoming:
Roy George Vavra has been missing since January 24, 2006. Vavra had agreed to go hunting with a friend, however, when the friend arrived, Vavra was no longer at his residence. Vavra left a note saying he would be back by 11:00 am. Vavra was sighted approximately two miles away from his residence leaving a convenience store at Highway 50 and Force Road, Gillette, Wyoming, with an unknown white male, approximately mid-30s with short blonde hair, driving a small white pickup truck similar to a For Courier. All of Vavra's personal belongings were left behind. Anyone with information regarding this case is urged to contact the Campbell County Sheriff's Office at (307) 682-7271, or the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation at (307) 777-7181.
