Metro Police recreated a crime scene today in an attempt to find a local man missing for more than two months. Fifty-six-year-old Dragan Rnic was last spotted driving his Honda Odyssey minivan on November 30th. The vehicle was found days later on State Route 160 between Las Vegas and Pahrump, but Rnic hasn't been seen since. Today, officers recreated the scene where the van was found in the hopes that someone may have been on the road that night and may have seen something. Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact Metro's Missing Persons Unit at 828-LOST.

Police believe the crime may have taken place near Mile Marker 20 on SR 160 and that motorists passing by may not have known they were witnessing a possible crime. A source close to police said evidence of foul play was found in the van.

Rnic, who is 56-years-old, is of Yugoslavian descent and owned dozens of properties around Las Vegas. Some of those properties are worth more than $1 million.

Dragan Rnic was last seen Dec. 1 driving a white 2003 Honda Odyssey minivan with no license plates. Police said Rnic’s car was found abandoned the next day one mile east of Mountain Springs on the north side of State Road 160 near mile marker 20.

Wagner said Rnic was driving to Las Vegas from Pahrump when he lost control of the car, causing the vehicle to enter the left ditch and turn sideways. Rain or icy conditions could have been factors in the one-car crash, police said.

“The key to this case is that someone driving might have got the person out of the car,”

Rnic is described as 6-foot-1 with a medium complexion, green eyes, and black and gray hair. He is of Yugoslavian descent.

It says he was likely murdered. I know they orignally said it looked like he had a one car accident but I wonder if someone was following him or he got in some road rage incident and they forced him off the road.

Rnic is a Serbian last name and Jurasek is a Croatian last name. Maybe some bad blood from the war?
