The Onslow County Sheriff's Office has released reconstruction photos of what a murder victim may have looked like.

The case goes back to 1991 when hunters discovered skeleton remains in Bear Creak. In the last month this case has received new interest. After receiving a tip in January two investigators from the Sheriff's Office traveled to Florida to conduct several interviews in the case. The Sheriff's Office will not say what they learned but is reporting that the trip was " beneficial."

Hopefully, some family will receive closure after all these years.

how about Dolly Caulder?

she was 30 y.o., 5'4" missing from NC in December 1990. the fact she was missing in the winter corresponds to the heavy clothes the UID was wearing.

The face shape is similar, but its a bad photo of Dolly.

Does anyone know if the hair would be completely gone in a year?

I would say it depends. I would think in a natural state of decomposition, no. however, if there was alot of animal activity then who knows what can happen.

From the NamUs profile...

Clothing with Body: Two clothing tags accompany remains, one reading "necessary objects limited" and the other "1045 Paris". Pair of white synthetic slip-on shoes w/small white bow.

I looked up "necessary objects limited" and found this:

Necessary Objects Ltd in Long Island City, NY is a private company categorized under Dresses Manufacturers. Our records show it was established in 1981 and incorporated in New York

So we can narrow the date of death from 1981 - 1991. NamUs doesn't list a probable year of death...

Add: I just saw that The Doe Network lists estimated date of death 2-3 years prior to discovery...

Cynthia went missing from Raleigh, about 2 1/2 hours away from Hubert, NC. She had a history of drug abuse and was listed as an endangered runaway. If this is her she could have very easily been staying with "friends" etc. for quite some time before her death.

Height: Jane Doe is listed as 62" estimated. Cynthia is listed as 66". Could they have been off that far in their estimate?

Timeline: Jane Doe ~ If we go with the Doe Networks estimated date of death as 2-3 years, she would have been out on the streets/with friends for several years. Although, the NamUs profile does not list an estimated date of death but based off of when the clothing was manufactured it has to be sometime after 1981.
Cynthia ~ Last seen 6/21/1985 but called home 2 weeks later and has not been heard from since.

Age: Jane Doe is listed as 20-30 years old. Cynthia was 17 when last seen.

After reading the thread about about Annette Sagers, I was wondering if there is a possibility that this is her mother, Korrinna Sagers. Wrong state I know, but age and estimated time of death correspond. Not sure if she was officially reported missing.

Some similarities here - what do you think?

The skeletal remains age would be out by 4 years (UID 30y.o - Crawford 34y.o) and the remains would be 5 years old not 3 years old.
Clothing different - though don't know circumstances of after disappearance.
Height is the same.

Elizabeth Crawford - Missing - Left home from: Simpsonville North Carolina
(File gives location person is from as: Greenville County, South Carolina)
Last seen: 1986
Car found at manufacturing plant 6 miles away (doesnt give plant location)

Reply from NamUs came very quickly - this morning.

Thank you for your suggestion. Searching DNA profiles have not produced a match, but I will do some additional checking.

Both Elizabeth Crawford and the UID had DNA testing on their profile page.
If I hear back any further updates i will post them.

The last update concerning this case was five years ago. And we still don't have any answers (even though there were evidently some new developments)... strange. LE must have found some sort of connection between the guy murdered and this Jane Doe, in order to suspect that it was the same killer. I just wish they would release a little more information..
