I just saw this on our local morning news and will look for a link. They said an autopsy has been done and LE is asking for people to call in tips about her death. The media says it is suspicious and named a POI and I didn't catch his name. Here's an article to get started: http://www.registerguard.com/csp/cms/sites/web/updates/24438809-46/coos-police-bay-county-death.csp

The girl, identified as Jenna Bowling, was brought to Bay Area Hospital by a private car about 10:20 a.m. Saturday, police said. <snipped>

Nellie, I was about to quote you for finding the link of the station I saw on TV and it disappeared! LOL!

Here it is:

Sinko says there is a sad atmosphere at the school. Some students showed up to school today dressed in church attire, to show their respect. And the whole school plans on wearing orange and green this Thursday. They are Jenna's two favorite colors. <snipped>

Heartbreaking.

There's nothing updated about Jenna's death yet.

Such a pretty girl. So young. It just breaks your heart.

May 2010:

Coos County District Attorney R. Paul Frasier announced in a press release that the medical examiner has ruled Jenna Bowling's death was from natural causes, as the result of 'metabolic complications of diabetes mellitus." But the toxicology report showed that the North Bend teenager's system contained non-lethal amounts of psilocin — the active ingredient in psychedelic mushrooms — as well as Hydrocodone, marijuana and alcohol.

'It appears that Jenna voluntarily took the drugs and alcohol, became intoxicated, and as a result of her intoxication, was not able to properly address her diabetes as it caused her blood sugar level to elevate to a fatal level," Frasier said.
