Yes, this is actually an inmate returning to prison after having given birth in the VIP section of a local hospital. Check out how happy the guard is to see her by his reflection in the window.

ETA: Then she calls him out in the prison by saying "no with me this time!" in a whiny voice and he apologizes and says "we busy". Then she says "busy?" in a pissed off way and gives him an eyeroll like how could any of them be too busy to deal with her? *massive eyeroll from me while listening to that exchange*

:maddening:

I loved the Kate Middleton analogy though. :floorlaugh:

MOO

I'm especially fascinated about the fact that this prisoner (no cuffs, shackles etc) is escorted to a waiting prison vehicle that has all the doors left open and that the local photographers are permitted to jump right into the front seat and take photos while the guards are loading her shopping cart full of goods into the back. And yes, she has a suitcase in that shopping cart. Just insane. :scared:

Mack, 19, was spirited away by police to notorious Kerobokan prison
Grinned as she clutched baby daughter tightly and kept her covered up
Grinned?
Ive never seen anyone react like that going back to Prison.
Anyone would think she won the lottery - :waitasec: oh that's right ...

@ gracehatter - she did do drama and acting classes :drama:

But in a flurry of movement at the hospital this afternoon a prosecutor's car arrived and Miss Mack was ushered into it after being transported out of the hospital in a wheelchair.

Huh? Prosecutor's car?

As for this comment in the report - it has seemed to me that the money is handled by Soenardi - and was given to him to pay such expenses - so for the hospital to be paid, it should come out of an official account - What is strange is that the amount was reported in msm. How did they know the amount, and what proof (if any) is there that this bill was for HM hospital stay. Why would this be done in front of reporters and why does it need to be news worthy? I find it extremely suspect.

Despite the emotional scenes, administrative affairs had to be dealt with - one of Miss Mack's legal team had to settle the hospital bill, paying $6000 with his credit card, which he will claim back from the many thousands of dollars that have been released to him from Miss Mack's Trust account.

I wonder if some of HM's $$ have secured her a private cell for herself and Stella.

A brief pause for a REALITY CHECK. This happy occasion we are seeing in the news is about a young girl involved in the premeditated cruel murder of her own mother. A baby was born and will be used for monetary and judicial gains. A little baby has now been dragged into a dangerous prison to live with this violent, unstable young girl. Happy occasion? I think not.

Poor little baby.

It sickens me,too, that this brutal murderer has reached the 'heights' of 'celebrity'. How did that happen???? She stuffed her mother's beaten body into a suitcase, for goodness sakes!!! Does no-one over there remember that??? Big hats, draped shawls, taxied to the prison in the prosecutor's car with her entourage following behind ....

She has even made it into some little pop celebrity publication. :thud:

"Heather Mack was “smuggled” out of hospital, along with her newborn baby, and returned to jail earlier today in Bali.
Ironically, given the circumstances of her death, it was actually Wiese-Mack who paid for the delivery of the baby she so objected to—along with Mack’s ongoing legal fees relating to her death—via a trust fund she set up for her daughter."

So, she not only got a ride in the prosecutor’s car … but the prosecutor of her case drove her. Looks like it was him that was pushing her shopping trolley full of stuff, too. Seems that she is running the show now.

“Speaking outside the hospital, the prosecutor Eddy Wijaya said that court proceedings would depend on Mack’s condition”

This is so disgusting and infuriating. I can't wait until they let her off with a slap on the wrist and deport her, with some FBI agents waiting for her as soon as she lands to take her to real prison. I hope they're paying close attention to this. The prosecutor doubling as her chauffeur and bag boy? Prison guards happy to see her back? Really? REALLY? IS THERE NO JUSTICE?

So it looks like he got a continuance for his motion until 4/10 @ 10:30a but Cohen denied the emergency motion to be heard and/or whatever relief WW was requesting.

What does this mean gracehatter? WW filed for an emergency hearing and he was turned down?

It looks like WW filed an emergency motion on 3/20. You cannot tell what he was asking for from the record but to me it looks like Cohen said not going to hear it, not enough of an emergency but we'll all come back on April 10th to hear it, so your motion is denied is my guess.

So, looking at the timing of the emergency motion ... it was filed soon after HM had the baby (17th) and before the scheduled sentencing recommendation hearing (24th) ... if it happens then. But has been delayed till the 10th April - the murder trial may possibly be over by then?

I don't suppose this would be the appropriate setting for WW to be filing a motion to have his great niece (Stella)returned to the U.S. immediately and taken away from her mother who plans to raise her in a drug infested third world prison?

Where are the human rights groups when things like this happen? They jumped right in when HM was first arrested and the DP was on the table. Funny how they all disappeared when Soenardi and his "retainer fee" showed up.

:notgood:

It would have to be something about the money, wouldn't it? If it is has gone before Cohen again. Maybe William Wiese agreed with Scifo to release some money for the birth, but wants to petition against future monies going to Bali for Stella's care? To sort of try to force HM to let Stella thrive outside the walls of Kerobokan? Maybe it can't be decided until it is determined if HM is 'dead'/slayer rule? Wild guesses on my part, of course.

I can't remember when the 20th March hearing was scheduled. But Scifo must have been there too, as that is when he was quoted with various statements about the emails and HM absolutely loving her baby outside of the court.

My computer is a mess!
South Aussie, yes, I would guess it has to do with money. No, Kamille, this is not the proper state court that would hear that type of case about the baby but I don't think it is in the USA at this point anyway. You have to keep in mind that Stella's parents are just defendants. Since Indonesia prisons allow for newborns to be cared for within their prisons, I don't know who is going to tell them "Hey Indo, we don't like that practice, get that baby out of there...". We don't know that she is unsafe and at risk just because we presume that any baby in their prison system would be...even with a mother such as Heather and I say that purely from a devil's advocate point of view...so don't jump on me :fence:
