[FONT=&amp]"Kokoski said the Evans/Rasmussen case has been "priority number one" for his cold case unit this year. He said investigators believe that the Allenstown victims were likely killed in the late 1970s."

This creates a fairly small window from the time he left Texas in June of 78 until the time he arrived in NH.

Another interesting quote. "Strelzin said he can't talk about what investigators learned from confidential records." I'm wondering if the death of his brother didn't set him off. There are no confirmed killings before his brother's death, but many FOLLOWING it. 1978 was a BIG YEAR for Terry, and ignoring his brother's death, which I"m hyperlinking here, is certainly a possible trigger point and shouldn't be dismissed. https://www.newspapers.com/image/?spot=13179790

If TR was already in NH by 1978, there's no way he would/could have known about that incident unless he had contact with his family (or someone he knew outside of NH) past November 30th, 1978.

I can agree with you, but why did he keep Lisa? Any thoughts?

I posted about this in the old threads. I was more in-depth there but, I think Lisa was a prop. Just like Bundy used a cast for sympathy, having a young baby/toddler drew women to him. The single dad sympathy story. There are many women out there that have low enough self-esteem, or are overly sympathetic, or who were marginalised in society who would jump on the chance for an instant family. A sense of belonging, being taken care of, a sense of being needed, of the American dream. It seems that he figured out older children lose their magnetism. A helpless baby or toddler can easily evoke maternal response. A 4 or 5 year old, who now can walk, talk, is toilet trained, and has no filters is not as attractive. And for him keeping the story, obviously, an older child is a threat. Its like the cliche of a man with a puppy in the park to pick-up women. Well, a new man in town with a baby and a very sad past is the same. A guy going to a park with a 5 year old dog, isn't going to pick up as many women. And a guy rolling into town with a 5 year old, is not as desirable as a potential mate. The older he got, the smaller the dating/victim pool, so the baby helped keep him "attractive". The other piece to this is once those kiddos hit school age, the cover can more easily be blown. And technically, drifting isn't a possibility. IMOO.

Now that I re-read that quote, it's possible she was only told she had siblings who died by TR. But there is also the reported sighting of TR with a woman and children.

Do you have a link for this? I know he showed up at his ex-wifes house in 1974 with a woman and child. Was there another sighting?

I hadn't heard he'd showed up with a woman and child, just an unidentified woman.

I thought the timeline was saying his whereabouts were unknown when the divorce was granted in 1978. It looks like the last known event for him as TR is the 1974 visit to his wife and children with the new girlfriend. Am I reading it wrong? I know it wouldn't be the first time...

Dec 1974 is the last physical sighting of TR by his ex-wife and children. LE has found a work record for TR in June 1978 still using his birth name.

NH Attorney General Press Release

https://www.doj.nh.gov/media-center/press-releases/2017/20170818-allenstown-information.htm

"Investigators are still attempting to account for Rasmussen's whereabouts between 1974 and the time he arrived in New Hampshire in the late 1970s posing as Robert "Bob" Evans. Investigators have found a work record indicating that "Bob Evans" was employed by a Texas electric company in June of 1978 and was still using the name Terry Rasmussen. This record indicates Rasmussen left this position to work elsewhere."

Thanks. That's not on the Union Leader's timeline. This case is now officially moving too fast for me to keep up 😆

That really isn't much time. I wonder if he was traveling back and forth?

Your doing fine, we all have moments where the case becomes overwhelming .. A lot of info from many outlets is much to absorb and remember ..

Wondered about that as well carbuff, have also thought did TR possibly bounce back and forth using his using his birth and alias names over the years.

Still very curious ... If anyone in his family (excluding ex-wife & children) ever heard from him through the years wether it was in person, telephone call, letters etc....

TR has been mentioned on obits through the years even one stating Terry of Texas in the 90's .. But then it could be that was the last place he was known to be by his immediate family as well.

Wonder if LE has received any good leads or tips since the news release one week ago today. A major media blitz should take place .. However Right now with Harvey soon to make landfall in TX it would be overshadowed there.

When is the first hard, confirmed date of him living in NH?

Didn't all the earlier articles state that he was in NH by 1977? Now I am confused. That is what i had believed all along.

Yes, iirc, when they first announced RE's discovery, the initial timeline for him arriving was sometime in 1977. I'm not sure exactly what that was based off of, I don't believe they gave a specific reason, but I believe it was tied to the mill shut down.
Since they've identified who he really is, and found some work records, it appears that he wasn't in NH until sometime in late 1978.
