GUILTY WA- 3 N. Seattle brothers, 78,79 & 82, arrested child sex-abuse investigation

The first thought I had when I saw the address in Seattle is the proximity to Green Lake. Having spent much time around there, it would have been the perfect locale for predators due to the availability of children. I shudder to think of how much opportunity these brothers have had.

It would be helpful if we had a missing child folder on just the missing children from this area. I've been combing through cases going back to the 60's and manually writing stuff down to check out. NOT the most efficient way to go about researching possible cases.

Missing, 1960s, and Puget Sound brings Ann Marie Burr to mind. I know many people believe that Ted Bundy was responsible for her disappearance, but I've never been convinced of that.

Are there mug shots of these monsters?

I agree they seem unlikely, but they were the only younger girls listed on that site. Some listings were from much longer ago, but were older girls, parental abduction, far from Seattle, etc.

Both those are family abductions. I know Julia's mother.

I get most of my exercise jumping to conclusions, but what if "Mary Anderson" deceased in that hotel room is their sister/housekeeper & found out, or was a victim?

Yes, likely I am trying to connect dots that just aren't there.
I dont think Mary was a house keeper and if the brothers had a sister I would think something would have been said by now. And i also think Mary was too old to have been a victim

This article refers to Edwin admitting to sexually abusing one of his sisters and her daughter. I assume they were each abused in their childhood since he was attracted to younger girls, not teens.

January 25, 2013: Seattle police Detective Danial Conine interviews Edwin Emery at 141 N.E. 59th St. He admits there could be child *advertiser censored* on his computer, admits to sexual abuse of one of his sisters and that sister’s daughter, according to court documents. Then age 73, Edwin Emery also discusses his sexual attraction to “sub-teenage” girls, court documents state. The interview is recorded. However, prosecutors do not file charges.

I don't have an opinion about Mary, but it's certainly a chronological possibility. He and his brothers apparently had more than one sister, including his twin Edna who was interviewed for the article. Her daughter, their niece, is the one who called LE. Their shock indicates that they probably weren't victims (or are in deep denial), so it could have been another sister and her daughter. Mary's age range of 33-45 when she died would have made her year birth somewhere between 1960 and 1973 give or take a few years, so she easily could have been a niece abused in her childhood. If her mother was born from 1938 to the mid 1950's she could have had a daughter in that date range. JMO

There is a picture of Charles Emery, the oldest brother, in this recap of the case.

Another link.

SHELTON, Wash. -- Three elderly brothers charged with child *advertiser censored* possession in Seattle are now being investigated for a possible link to the disappearance of a young girl eight years ago. Lindsey Baum vanished from her home in McCleary in 2009.

Digging around a bit today I found this:

Similar images were reportedly found in a home owned by a now deceased fourth brother, Donald Emery. Donald Emery owned two parcels outside Shelton. One parcel is listed as a “vacation cabin” which is adjacent to 14 acres of undeveloped property also under Donald Emery’s name. Donald and Charles Emery are said to have lived in the cabin until 2016.

If that's old news, my apologies. This is beyond horrifying. I assume it's entirely possible the writings were just deranged thoughts but it's hard to believe that. According to google maps, it's only 30 minutes away from where Lindsey Baum went missing from https://www.google.ca/maps/dir/McCl...994b6cd7bb928ed9!2m2!1d-123.06647!2d47.228072 (address listed here https://www.advancedbackgroundchecks.com/donald+emery/G1967211822037050116)

What's the chance that they were serial killers when younger? I think it's very high.

I have more questions than answers. I know LE is focusing on Lindsay's case because of the flyer they found, but the niece said she burned a lot of papers before she realized " how bad" it was, and she had been molested by at least 2 of the " brothers".

Here is what I wonder:
1) Anna Christian Waters- They would have been " in their prime" when Anna went missing.

2) Former addresses for all of them must be found.

3) Correlate their location now and any previous locations with missing girls' cases before these sickos die of age and take the possible answers to their graves.

4) What's the chance that the late crime reporter and author, Ann Rule, might have heard and recorded one of their names in the course of her interviews? How I wish this was 40-50 years ago for the sake of missing children and because Ann might have been able to help LE. IDK.

5) Were any little patients at Children's Hospital molested by the janitor? Just OMG, please no.

6) Separate them ASAP. They are their own little " satanic cult" for lack of a better term. They feed off each other, but one of them will be the weak link.
LE will find out which one ( not the one with dementia, of course) when they separate the men and question them separately after they have been separated for some time.

7) If they have lived in that Norman Bates looking house for many years, as seems to be the case at this point, bring in cadaver dogs and let them go to work. There may be human remains on the property, if what we fear is true from the news articles.

8) Is it possible that those old cars in the garage were where the relatives' little girls and possible other girls were molested? The one car is almost half a block long.. maybe they took their own photos of girls in the Packard or whatever it is.

Remembering a comment Ted Bundy made to authorities about them not having a clue as to the killers in the PNW. I wonder if he had any association with these guys when they were ( obviously) younger?
He preferred adult women, but Kimberly Loach was only 12, I believe it was. He is believed to have had many more UID victims, and the age really can't be pinned down because of Kimberly's case.

I have no answers, but OMG, I have questions and thoughts. If handled correctly, relatively quickly due to their advanced ages, and with some luck, this could be a huge break in long ago missing children's cases!!!

Edwin https://www.advancedbackgroundchecks.com/edwin+emery/G5861822870478661489

Edwin's is iffy. Although it does list the Seattle house as one of his addresses. And many others.

All four brothers turn out to be lifelong perverts. This makes me wonder what their childhood might have been like. I mean where does this come from? Blows my mind....

Not sure if this article has been shared. Possibility is that 3 generations of the family were abused!

Just came across this...

"VIDEO: Woman recalls encounter with child sex abuse suspect"
http://www.kiro7.com/video?videoId=596797476&videoVersion=1.0

Also this search was supposed to start today

"The Emery's now-deceased brother, Donald, remained in the Shelton home until 2016. Grays Harbor County Sheriff Rick Scott told KIRO 7 News that detectives intend to do an extensive search of the Shelton property; cadaver dogs and the Department of Homeland Security will help with the search."

And the house honestly looks like a haunted house. And likely is, but in a very different way. :(

After detectives searched for days at the North Seattle house where three brothers allegedly spent most of their lives abusing children, the investigation now turns to a 17-acre property in Shelton.

[...]

Their search extended from the home in the Green Lake neighborhood to another home the brothers owned 90 miles away in Shelton.

So according to this article it was the niece who was cleaning out the place and called LE who had been molested! Her mother who was interviewed was also...so badly that she was driven from the home into foster care!! But she acted so shocked! And possibly so was the niece's daughter since a small vodka bottle was found labeled with a note that it was the great niece's first taste of liquor. This is so messed up, and so are the relatives they molested. Maybe they thought this was normal?

A short sentence in the court papers revealed how the brothers were able to target not just one, but possibly three generations of women in their family. T.W., the relative who first called police on the brothers, told investigators that she allowed Charles Emery, the man who abused her, to take her daughter to Hawaii with him at least once. How could she have willingly put her daughter in his hands? She answered that since her mother – who the brothers also abused as a child – was along on the island trip, she believed her daughter would be safe.

Reading some of the comments on MSM (I know, I shouldn't) makes me feel heartsick. I don't know all the clinical language but I do know that in certain situations, family members who were SA by other family members at a young age, tend to put it away in some "that happened a long time ago" place and forget about it - as best they can. For many, it's not until they're adults that they remember and/or realize just how awful it was. It would appear in this case, the niece realized she likely wasn't the only one, and the severity of potential victims is unthinkable.

I fully commend her for going to LE when she did. It couldn't have been easy.
