WA - Lindsey Baum, 10, McCleary, 26 June 2009 - #10

Miss you guys :) Came to check and see how things were going ... Lindsey stays on my mind & hope that she soon will be reunited with her family and friends.
 
Today I met a nice fellow from Bremerton who travels between WA and OR. He said he has been through McCleary not too long ago and was handed a missing flyer about Lindsey. He said that everyone he knows up in WA knows that she is missing. I was very happy to hear that!

He told me that one thing we need to know is that the area around there is VERY wooded and it would be a hunter or hiker or the like that might be who finds her remains. We also talked about the possibility she was snatched for a child slave trade or the like. Do they ever find missing kids in those slave rings? I hear about them, but rarely hear about kids being recovered from them.

Usually, no, they don't get the child slaves back. They disappear in a foreign country, with no name, no ID, and more often than not, their minds are broken to the point where they forget everything but the life they currently lead. Within 5 years, most of them are drugged out hulls that don't remember who they were.

I know, not what you wanted to hear.

Hi De Ho Kimster and Everyone,

I've been away from here too much for my liking ;} what with the trauma of my car problem and work, work and more work cause i need a big check next payperiod. My heart is here with you and like Cajun I miss you guys and Lindsey is always in my thoughts.

There is one poster who always says "Where is Lindsey?" BANG Where is she? How could she simply vanish into thin air? Inquiring minds want to know where she is tonight and what happened to her.


My thanks goes to all of you who are keeping her spirit alive by thinking of her and racking your brains as to the why, where, when and how it was that she has been lost to everyone for over a month now. I never thought it would take this long to find her.

We need Lindsey to be brought home. :blowkiss:



PS: Kimster, don't you wish Scotty could beam us up so we could look down and see right where she is? Ya Ya ;}

Oh, Not_my_kids, I just read this and my heart goes out to you. You Dear and Brave Heart, and friend of all of us here. Thank you for your courage in speaking out. I think it will make a difference in some poster's life who has gone thru something similar and is having a hard time dealing with the truth.

Off topic: I changed it, but I will eventually change it back.
They are going to let him out, but I want him to have no peace and no safe haven he can run to when they release him.
 
Sorry, I couldn't find the extensive article about keeping sex offenders in custody after their sentence ends, maybe at work tomorrow. Here is a link with the basic information and I will post the other when I find it. The Supreme Court will hear arguments this fall and sex offenders are already organizing against it...this article provides most of the info that you need.

I forgot to mention that this is an article by an organization notifying citizens of abuses to the Constitution...nobody on here likes this proposal.

NMK Thank you for the article! Speechless. The squeeky wheel gets greased! Everyone being vocal is what will help change laws. Is there anyway myself and others can help advocate for you from afar with letters or emails? Purple Hearts shouldn't just be given to military personel. Hugs through the matrix with every post you type! I'm going with hubby to call on Rosevears music store in aberdeen and then to Mc Cleary. Maybe we'll meet some folks. Whats a good lunch restaurant? Hey Kagey, I see you'll be in our neck of the woods. Say Hi to the guys at Rosevears for me. My brother is a drummer in a couple of local bands and graduated with one of the owner's sons. So we know those guys pretty well. I even repaired their computers a couple of times for them there in the store.

What's a good restaurant in Aberdeen? Billy's is ok. There aren't many there I would recommend though.
 
What is it this week? No one will return a freaking phone call or an email...I think it's me. I'm still waiting for email from Hoodsport and a phone call from CA, nothing so far.
Odd question: When a Police Dept. has sent a perps file to the DA for them to review, how long does it normally take to make it's way back to the police? Supposedly, this is what I am waiting for from San Diego about an SO. I'm thinking that since it is San Diego, it might take awhile.

On a related note, I spent the day looking into the child sex trade, although I don't think it's what really happened to Lindsey, and although the statistics are scary, it did reaffirm my belief that Lindsey was probably not taken into slavery.

I have been following Lindsey's story from the beginning and have read some of the posts in this forum(there's a lot). I had a theory about what happened but it wasn't really based on anything solid. I live about an hours drive away and have been wanting to help somehow. Last Tuesday I flew over McCleary and shot some photos I hope you will find useful. There are some of McCleary and of the road between McCleary and Porter. My original theory posited that since it was a Friday night someone was on their way to the Indian casino and their route would take them through McCleary.

Welcome to WS, Mike. The shots are great. I wasn't prepared, however, for the massive wooded areas. It would be like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

Feel free to share your theory, even if it's not based on anything solid. As you know, about the only solid evidence we have is that Lindsey is missing.

Thanks for the warm welcome. My first thought was that some low life was looking for something to do on a Friday night around 930 and was heading for the casino on SR101. If that low life lived in, say, Porter, he would go through McCleary to get there. The last pictures on the page are of Porter. But after I read other's speculations mine didn't seem as plausible. A roadside "grab" even during twilight must be a rarity. I'm new.

I'm going to be gone next week but I want to spend some time down there when I get back. Start a to do list for me.

That's an interesting angle, though. Maybe whoever took her went back to Porter. We'll have to sleuth that area some. How far away is it?
