aYes/No, you gave me lots of smiles today!
-- I love Burl Ives, great song pick.
-- ROFL on your advice to Zuri if she buys another horse :hilarious:
-- Old Man Winter skipped out on us this year.... I'm taking up a collection so he can travel again next year.
-- Kangaroo and cow flatulence? Who knew?

And I skipped Nurmi's latest interview. I've had enough of him for now.

Coffeej must still be sick. I do hope they have seen a doctor. Be well, Coffee!

Niner --- Merry Christmas to you and yours. I hope it is an specially nice one. Think of you and your DH often.
Nore .... sending hugs, hope you are doing better.
Bernina--- I do hope this is her best Christmas yet..... the best is going to get better from here on.

Dmacky.... Hope you are doing better. Hatfield.... no more feeling down, sending smiles your way. Daisymae....special wishes for you to have a healthier and easier year ahead.

And for all I have missed, I love every one of you special peeps! What a gift WS has given me. :grouphug: :eek:rnament:

That is such a beautiful horse!!!

- think you better think twice as your DH might sell you if you buy another horse. :floorlaugh:

This is exactly what would happen so no horse for me. Yet. The barn door is always open lol.

I just remembered something else Nurmi said in his interview with King Jordan. He backtracked on saying anything against Wilnott or Juan. He made an inference about Juan, but wanted the trial watchers and audience to draw their own conclusions. He said it would be unethical to make any comments...

Morning all. Merry Holidays and Happy Christmas.

The Chipmunks were at the #1 position on the music charts on this day in 1958 as Alvin, Simon, and Theodore sang with David Seville. The Chipmunk Song (Christmas Don’t Be Late), the novelty tune that topped the charts for a month, is still a Christmas favorite today...

OK, for all that need a good cry. Men don't understand a good cry. If they did they'd have one once in a awhile.

Morning all! :wave:

I got the "Wreath" also!! In fact, I do have one on my door! :)

She is 16.1 H and looks nice. I am going to call about her tomorrow. She is thin because she is at the track, but has a great shoulder angle and neck. Her stifle is high, which IMO she can jump.

I am trying to figure out how to hide/siphon off/take $2500 out of our checking account without my DH noticing. What if I surprise him and tell him I bought him a horse????!!! Great idea right?

That's a tall horse, right - at 16.1 hands?? Looks like it, or as GigiG said - the guy is short...
You can buy it as a Christmas gift for your DH... :gift:

I :luv: Johnny Carson!!

Thank you Spellbound! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours!! :sleigh:

Okay - will post and keep on reading! :D

But he slams him in his book.... :facepalm:

Getting ready for Skype with brother and sisters - so will be back later!

I've always loved Walter Brennan. He reminds me of Uncle Lee. His whiskers on my cheek in the morning before he sharpened his razor on a leather strap. He always wore a starched blue shirt, khaki pants, suspenders, and a straw hat. He smelled like camel cigarettes that he smoked. He saved the red "string" that you pulled to open the pack. He said you saved them and it helped veterans somehow. I followed the poor man everywhere

Spell? where were you running to when you were five? Did have a place to go? or just wanting a place somewhere else.

"Christmas Eve at the Sidebar"
=====================================

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the Forums,
Not a creature was posting, not even out of Boredom;

Wine glass was placed, by the keyboard with Care,
in hopes that not a drop, would make it in There;

Posters were nestled all snug in their Beds,
while visions of murders, tormented their Heads;

Since Momma was asleep, I poured another Glass,
Even thought about digging out the Stash;

When out on the lawn there arose such a Clatter,
Had to get off my butt, to see what's the Matter;

Rushing to the Window, I flew like a Flash,
Spilled the wine on the Keyboard, with a large Splash;

When what to my wondering eyes should Appear,
It was just my neighbor Nick, dropping a Beer;

So back to the puter, quietly not to Stir,
Lo and Behold, there they all Were!

It was GiGi, Niner, Zuri and Zoe,
Spellbound, Coffeej, FindHG, and YES and NO;

Bendingpages was there, along with Atthelake, Dmacky, and BYO,
Even Caylees Advocate, Nore, Daisymae, Susza, and Bernina Too;

The topics began flying, with discussions Abound,
What a wonderful night, we had Found;

When finally we tired, and had to get off our rear Ends,
We all could sleep well, knowing we're Friends.

Im sorry if I left some of us out. I tried to include as many as I could and still make it all rhyme. :)

Xoxoxoxo fabulous !

I wanted a miniature horse when my grand daughter was five. She got Trixie, MonaLou and Spots mother instead.

This little guy is just too cute.

I think I want to buy this horse. I am officially nuts. Certifiable. Isn't she pretty though? 3 yo Thoroughbred filly off the track who didn't like to race. I could breed her...

Mama mia, what a horse!
Yesssss, bread her! If the finances and DH agree, go ahead, Zuri! Just do what you love to do!
:):):):):)
We are lucky to have one life. I'm not sure if there will be a second...

Every year I wonder about this ritual -- staying in bed sounds wonderful to me!

But it's something I've always done, so quitting is not an option. My mother hated cooking, so I don't have any fond memories of great Christmas meals.

(One year she was on the Stillman Diet, and our Christmas dinner started with a clear broth, and went downhill from there.)

I guess that resulted in my strong feelings about giving my kids a holiday meal tradition as a gift, of sorts, from me to them...

That's too funny: a meal that goes downhill from clear broth - that's beyond my generally vivid imagination.
