France - Victim beheaded in gas factory terror attack, 26 June 2015

A suspected terror attack on a gas factory near Grenoble in southeast France has left one dead and two wounded, Friday morning. The deceased victim is reported to have been decapitated and his head left on a gate.

There has been an explosion and one arrest has been made. The attackers are reported to have been carrying black Islamist flags. Anti-terror police are on their way to the scene.

CNN is reporting that the decapitated head was pinned onto the gate of the chemical factory (in ISIS fashion)
 
Sorry, we were starting threads at the same time but I've asked a mod to merge mine here.

French media have been reporting the attack was carried out by two suspects holding black Islamist flags. There is a huge, huge police presence at the factory in Saint Quentin Fallavier right now.

Remember after Charlie Hebdo when the attackers there fled to a carpet factory/showroom? WTH? It's just so strange...
 
AFP are confusing me. They are 'breaking' news that President Hollande says there may be a second attacker, but that was being reported ages ago. I thought he/she must have been killed but it seems like they are on the loose. Oh no. :(

Do you have a source for the alleged tie-in of the Post-reported incident with your targeted religion?
 
The factory that was the focus of the attack was the multinational "Air Products" which produces gases for medical and industrial uses (mostly flammable products). The terrorist attackers who set off the explosions inside the plant were obviously hoping for major secondary explosions which thankfully did not occur or we would be dealing with a mass casualty situation this morning.

You make a statement in the OP that "we historically see a spike in attacks on so-called 'infidels'" during Ramadan. I am asking for proof of that allegation.

If you can neither do that nor link your other info above, perhaps then this thread should stick to its objective topic, viz., the horrible attack in France.

The arrested suspect Yacinne Sali, is a 35-year-old, who was in “in contact with a salafist movement”, Cazeneuve’s statement said.

He was described as living in the Lyon area at Saint-Priest. “He had been noted for his radicalisation, but was not known to have any links to terrorist figures,” Cazeneuve added.

Someone I know very well retired with Air Products and Chemical after 35 years of service. They are an American owned company based in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Here and internationally they have approximately 19-20K employees. They are a great company to work for.

I believe they hit this plant because they knew it was American owned.

All plants like this, here and abroad.. are sitting ducks for ISIS terrorists/sympathizers. Its not just Air Products. They must put up safer barriers to protect the employees and the entire surrounding towns. If certain chemicals on site are exploded it could level everything in sight for miles around.

My heart goes out to the victim's family and the entire Air Products family both here and abroad. Out of every bad comes good so maybe this will be a wakeup call that we must find a way to protect any and all employees that work at sites where ISIS or ISIS sympathizers may want to target.
