Is it possibly they just didn't report her missing until later? 5 months seems like a long time to wait, but who knows.

(it does say she was scheduled to attend classes May 19 and reported missing when she didn't show up, so I guess not)

if ya find someone ya really think might be a possible it might not be a bad idea to dig up more info.. I noticed some sites have different information .. and sometimes the dates could be off if they waited a long time to report them missing... or someone could of entered something wrong

It's just one disappointment after another. I was almost convinced it was Sara Bushland. I wonder HOW they ruled her out. Hmm. I guess if it was DNA I fold, but otherwise I'm not giving up hope on her! LOL

I ditto this thought!!!! There have been all kinds of cases where the missing date was later than thought...

RULED OUT I have attempted a side by side of Jaycee Dugard, (her age progressed photo) with the photo of MJD as well as one of Jaycee from when she went missing to the composite of MJD. Does anyone else see the similarity? I am very new at this so please be kind. LOL

check out the amount of discussion she has generated on the web; What I find curious about her abduction is the age of the female perp listed for 1991: Approx 32 years of age....WTH? How do you come up with that age unless you have an idea who the woman is....JMO

My understanding is that Jaycee's step-father pursued the vehicle on a bicycle until the car got away from him....

She had a gap in her front teeth and a chicken pox scar on her forehead, so I would think she could also be ruled pretty easily against MJD.

I don't see Jennifer Rae Perry mentioned as a possible. I recall that MJD was going on a trek with Alonzo and Lindsay to Florida. Jennifer Perry is from Florida. The jawline is very similar to MJD's, as are the ears:

A lot doesn't fit about this one: she's a little too old (but just within the range and looks young IMO), and there is already a suspect in the disappearance. In addition, I can't see that a 17-year-old girl would gain any advantage in saying to others that she was 15 if she were looking to live independently, even (especially?) on the streets.

Against that, height and weight match exactly, I can't see that she's been ruled out, the timescale matches Doe's arrival in Phoenix and she looks a heck of a lot like her.

Date Of Birth: June 27, 1981
Age at Time of Disappearance: 17 years old
Height and Weight at Time of Disappearance: 5'4"; 120 lbs.
Distinguishing Characteristics: White female. Brown hair; brown eyes.
Marks, Scars: Tattoo on inside of ankle, belly pierced, breast pierced.
Clothing: White quilted jacket, green pants.
Dentals: Not available. An upper front tooth is angled inward, making it look as though she is missing a tooth.

Juanita has not been seen or heard from since December 14, 1998.
When she disappeared, she was a San Lorenzo Valley High School senior, leaving behind most of her possessions including her purse and identification
The investigation centers on a friend of Nelson’s who allegedly told two of his friends he killed her and dumped her body in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Police believe the car involved has been destroyed.

She does look a lot like her. I'm not so concerned about the age, since it was only reported by one individual that MJD supposedly tried to get a job as a stripper and claimed her age to be 15. But Juanita has brown eyes, MJD had blue eyes. Plus it would be unlikely that her ankle tattoo would be missed or the breast piercing.

I wonder if clouding of the corneas made her eyes appear blue? Although I'm sure that's unlikely as she was probably not deceased for very long prior to being taken to the morgue. Anyway, I highly, highly doubt they would have missed a tattoo or piercing, although I didn't see her navel ring stated. She does look very much like her, though.

I am pretty sure Trudy Appleby was ruled out with DNA testing (its posted on the eliminated thread I think?). She is not on the Maricopa ME's list from what I can tell, but Christine posted an email from Moline LE that said she was ruled out.
