Ahh thank you! Then perhaps no.

And I am looking but not finding this "Fox Exclusive" in print online yet, so take it with a grain (the *advertiser censored* addiction counseling)

Yes I saw that. Rather disturbing but IMO not surprising. Usually ( but not in every case) the abduction of a child involves sexual assault. Seems like this guy might have been a bit obsessed with death too. It all seems pretty creepy. I have a feeling her murder was not for the exclusive purpose of covering up his crimes, but rather his ultimate intent. 3 things (IMO) abduct, sexually assault, murder. 111.

Fox31 keeps flashing a pic of dad with AS and another boy....shouldn't they be blurring that other boy's face out?!

9News reported that Jessica was not dismembered at AS's house, and LE is looking for a secondary crime scene.

If AS is cooperating, why hasn't he told LE the details of where he performed his horrific crime(s)?

Could he still be playing with LE, even at this point?:waitasec:

Hoping he will stick to his confession and plead guilty. No one needs a trial, not the families, or the community.

I had a feeling about this. In his younger pictures he was rather husky...and by the racing video (age 14) he had trimmed down quite a bit. He also seems to have a high pitched voice in that (faith/music) other video from two or three years ago.

Sure, just soak them in formalyn or something similar.

Yes... I remember a neighbor boy who kept his extracted tonsils in a jar of formaldehyde to take out and make people go "ewwww"...

I am kind of picturing the same thing with AS. (Putting remains in jars of formaldehyde, that is.)

I imagine it's possible he'll have a lawyer in the morning if he hasn't told them all. Like where he did this to Jessica. I hope he doesn't drag this out anymore. jmo

I bet there was someone in the Superior neighborhood that he didn't like. I think he put the backpack to scare or implicate them.

Now that we know about AS's infatuation with death...

Maybe he did put the backpack there because that is where the mother murdered her own child... IIRC...

Well Autism too....

I don't think that this is necessarily true. The kind of language abnormalities that are hallmarks of autism spectrum disorders are different than merely talking to oneself.

[ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perseveration"]Perseveration - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]Perseveration: "the repetition of a particular response, such as a word, phrase, or gesture, despite the absence or cessation of a stimulus, usually caused by brain injury or other organic disorder"

[ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Echolalia"]Echolalia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]Echolalia: "the automatic repetition of vocalizations made by another person"

[ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palilalia"]Palilalia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]Palilalia: "the involuntary repetition or utterance of the same word or phrase, often the speaker's own words"

These are all stereotypically autistic verbal behaviors, though perseveration in particular also occurs with frontal lobe injury. These are very distinctive behaviors, not mere self-talk.

I think so and if they have to look after he's been arrested and has confessed to some of the details, it adds to my belief that he is enjoying the idea of LE trying to solve the rest of the puzzle.

Thank you Smoothoperator for writing that out. That's exactly what I was referring to. I really could care less about who shoots up zombies, likes little characters or even plays games depicting other violence generally speaking. I don't believe those are indicators of much of anything as millions of people play them and manage to get along in life just fine.
It is a completely different story when things turn to depictions of children either pornographic or violent in nature. These are the virtual worlds I am referring to. Anime *advertiser censored*, virtual realities where child characters are raped, murdered, brutalized, etc. This is a whole different ball of wax.
Hope that makes sense.

Anyone think its possible he committed such a horrific crime and created such a complicated crime scene to watch it all play out? A variation on Munchausen syndrome perhaps?

On my way home from work tonight I had a feeling something was going to break in one of the cases I've been following and sure enough that feeling was spot on. I'm glad that LE was finally able to bring an end to this. LE did a excellent job. Jessica is finally going to get justice as she should, but after reading the comments tonight on several articles posted I hope the school/LE take a damn hard stand and also press charges against against any student stupid enough to brag that it was okay to bully this boy. Those students should be held accountable for their actions. I can tell you first hand that bullying can and does ruin innocent peoples lives and those responsible should also be held accountable for contributing to what this kid did. Bully can and does cause mental breakdowns. I believe Combine is a good example of this. My heart is breaking tonight. Prayers for Jessica and her family!

And a question to those who have followed more of these than I have...what are we thinking about them releasing his picture before he had his first court appearance? He is still a minor and they don't usually do this (or release names), right? If his parent/guardian gave it the OK, then is that why they could release it?

I'm so worried about a trial here and hope MSM isn't just dragging this through the mud.

I was so glad to hear the bells today during the presser by LE. They really did and will continue to fight for Justice for Jessica.

AS was playing out Murder 101 but he ran up against seasoned and determined LE professionals. They kept driving home for people to call the tip line and it worked and I don't care if he did confess to his mom and she called.....A call was made and the perp was arrrested!!

I don't think she was alive if this occurred. Numerous classmates have made reference to the fact that Austin was overly interested/intrigued with dead bodies. He told someone he was enrolled in mortuary science. Another classmate stated that he actually completed a project on the topic of keeping a body in water versus keeping it in dirt or frozen.

I work with Autistic children quite a bit and many replay conversations in their head or speak out things they saw on TV. I had one speak out part of a TV show she had watched. It was like she was watching it but she was giving the audio to it.

So it's not really rehearsing what they are going to say but stating other peoples words or whatthey are seeing in their head.

I bet any lawyer who represents him is going to ask to have the trial moved. The way this story has gone worldwide though, he may have trouble finding a place where people don't know about it.
