Just being honest, so far I've seen nothing that I would say is incriminating for ZA. This is a very one-sided match between the attorneys. The State comes across as much more qualified to argue this case. However, nothing yet has shown ZA's guilt. I really hope this changes soon.
So far the State has done a great job showing Holly was taken and is dead, but haven't tied to anyone specifically. I really hope there is more evidence of guilt.
I think they are just setting the scene now. There have been a few tidbits that are interesting. A few days before she was kidnapped, Zach was driving around in a white pickup, at the end of her street, and zoomed up to and scared a female jogger, telling her he didn't mean to scare her, but he thought she was a 'friend' of his who lived on that road.
It makes it seem like he was out trolling for Holly that day. And it was a white pick up that was seen driving away fast from the scene of Holly's kidnapping.
Nothing they have shown so far ties Zach to the crime yet, but they are setting the scene. His ex girlfriend says he is violent and he and his friends made comments about being involved in the crime.
So when one of those same friends comes to the witness stand, and testifies for the state, describing the rape and murder, and saying Zach was the ringleader, I think it will be powerful.
One of those young men has already committed suicide. That is powerful too.
