I've no doubt LM was telling Leclair this stuff but since you can't trust a word LM says, Leclair can only ask about it to show that he got a different version from his client. It goes two ways. Either to show that the witness is lying and his testimony can't be trusted or that LM is delusional and believes all this stuff really happened during his "psychotic break".

Personally I just think he was lying to his attorney for more shock and awe and was not suffering from a break when he did this. Everything he did was done with precision from someone who was very high functioning at the time IMO. Well at least I think that right now. Still waiting to hear from the doctors.

There is some evidence to back up the fact that it is not a coincidence. Bordelais is an uncommon name. In all of Quebec, there are only three Bordelais, and one Bordelais-Moutou. Sylvie is unlisted. Of the three Bordelais in all of the Quebec phone book, one is a Renee Bordelais who lived in the Montreal suburb of Longueil where Thierry Bordelais lived.

It's the only thing I can find that specifically links Renee Bordelais with the Homolkas. LM lived around a 20-25 minute drive from RB, perhaps he went to check this connection out personally?

ETA: A little more googling and I found a phone number listed for RB, he may have tried to contact her this way to try and verify a KH connection.

Maybe the 'poop and urinating' stuff is to try to show how truly nuts LM really is. And wasn't the video called "Lunatic with an Ice Pick" (or something to that effect)? So, maybe the defence is trying to show that there's really a "lunatic" sitting in the courtroom?

Oh I know there are a million and one fetishes out there. But LM is going for an NCR verdict. I think Leclair will drag every single fetish and even make some up just to let the jury think LM is off his rocker and "had no control over killing JL".

BTW: I don't buy it. LM knew exactly what he was doing that night. (My opinion....)
