Thank you to anyone posting any information regarding Joanie. I am one of her step-daughters. Today is November 18th, and she is still missing. There have been numerous searches in the areas between her home and the VFW where she was last seen. The last air search was about two weeks ago. The first thoughts when it was discovered that she was missing was that she'd had an accident on her way home. The area in which she was driving is very rural, most of the roads are through farmland, but there is a lot of timber lined areas, creeks and ravines along many of the routes she could have taken. All suspect areas have been searched by professional and civilian searchers, law enforcement, dog teams, drone searches of inaccessible areas (ravines), etc., all to no avail. Her car is also missing, a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica, silver in color. I know there are cases where a vehicle has been so well covered by trees and brush that they were overlooked or missed in areas searched several times. While that may be the case here, many of us now don't feel so strongly that's what happened and that foul play has to be looked at as a very real possibility. She said goodnight to the friends she was with at the VFW at about 1:50 am, based on surveillance video from inside the building. There were no known witnesses to her leaving, once outside of the VFW building, getting in her car and exiting the parking lot of the VFW. There were no outside surveillance cameras at the VFW building. There were no nearby surveillance cameras that she would have passed by on her expected way home as again, it was mostly rural/farm/residential all the way between her home and the VFW on almost every route she would or could have taken. She didn't try to call or text anyone after leaving the building. Her cell phone was pinged off of a cell tower located approximately one mile south of the VFW later that Saturday afternoon at 4:26 pm. There was no additional information available from her cell phone records as far as I know and information from I-Phone's "Find My Phone" app did not provide any additional information either. It appears she never returned home as she has a small dog that is her "baby" that she never would have just left there alone, and it appears that the dog had been there several days with no food/water, etc., house was in order- nothing out of place as if there was a struggle there or anyone ransacked it - her medicines were also found at her home. There has been no activity on her phone, or her bank account. This VFW is a place where she went frequently, and had been going there to socialize for many years (15 years or more) so she knew the area well, and many people that also frequented the establishment. At first it was thought that a former housemate of hers may have had something to do with her disappearance but he was found, interviewed by law enforcement and found to have no knowledge of Joanie's missing status, and had an alibi to his whereabouts at the time she went missing (staying in a homeless shelter with check-in records and video of his presence there). We are all at a loss as to where to turn now, where else to look, etc. Law enforcement has formed a multi-jurisdictional task force to investigate her disappearance. With the possibility she may have been taken from the area, we feel we have to keep information flowing and keep her picture and story out there in hopes of any information that can bring her home. There is a facebook page dedicated to search information entitled "Joanie Rebar- Missing/Search Info" (
