Notlaw.....we all see things differently but when I look at your pic I see a bedcover the same as when I saw a bedcover on the untouched pic....Of course I could be wrong.

"It's full of alligators out there, isn't it? Freaks me out (I'm up north). I'd be scared to go in any of that water.

Does it seem, to you, that where the fishermen found the bike would be a place where fishermen would have been every day? In other words, it would mean the bike was just dumped there."

Just don't fall out of the boat. From the looks of the location, a fisherman not specifically looking for something would like not have seen the bike. I doubt it was just in the middle of the boat-ramp parking lot. But that area should have been searched early. But maybe it wasn't. The timing of the dumping of the bike is critical.

There are some fishermen who go fishing at night. Hopefully someone who was out there might have seen something going on but didn't pay attention to it. Now that this is out, they could possible be able to share some info.

As somebody mentioned, this appears to be a crime of opportunity.

Which would most likely equal a quick exit out of town.

Smart perp or not would probably want to dump something as large as a bike that could be remembered later on, especially if it was in the back of a truck.

Cell phone was never found, right? Possibly tossed somewhere along the route or with the bike.

If she's not alive (I pray she is) then I still don't think she would be found with the bike, since for the perp to accomplish his/her horrible motives would probably take longer than the 35 or so minutes to head out of town as quick as possible without getting pulled over.

I know others have alluded to or said some of these things, I'm just trying to compile how I would view it.

There are a gazillion white trucks out there but couldn't help but notice this one at 215 St Landry in street view. Maybe this one lives in the neighborhood.

And this truck has got that slanty post between the front and back windows as seen in one of the white truck pics.

:greetings: chicken fried, and glad you could join us....as well as the many others from LA joining us to help find Mickey. Thank you for all the effort and time you spent looking for her.

I just want to take this opportunity to also say, as others long time members have, that the outpouring of volunteers within the community of Lafayette is so heart warming. I've not seen anything like it before in any of the missing cases. What a wonderful supporting community. And lets not forget the remarkable actions of MS's wonderful and caring friends, who spearheaded the first efforts...using social media to spread the word so effectively. It was truly #1 and they would certainly be a welcomed addition to WS. With that being said, I also want to sincerely apologize to Brettly for thinking he was involved. I was sooooo wrong and have learned a lesson from it. Brettly, you are a rare and true friend to MS....and that is hard to come by in this day and age. I pray she is found safe and can once again be among her beloved group.

Well, I don't know about you, Isabelle, but for me it's back to being scared of white (4 door) trucks and just in case...cars like that 4 door Cadillac-looking car.

I hear ya' girl! Me too. Maybe time for a new mace dispenser and another class in self defense! Learned soooo much, but that was during DTL's escapades. Pam Kenamore was sis-in-law of my DH's secretary!

Wasn't the bike found under the overpass? In the pics, it looks like a dirt road runs underneath there....

I thought that is what I read earlier. So it could not of been tossed off bridge IMHO

We saw several people on 4wheelers on the side of the interstate and in the median on our way to Butte larose coming from Lafayette. I can only assume they were searching as this is not an area to ride 4wheelers at all. I can't post a map because I'm on my phone, but this was before we got on the basin bridge, probably around noon.

Is TES still in Lafayette? Tim will probably have a change in search areas after this new finding?!

I hope this bike being found today - if it was dropped off there recently - isn't like Morgan Harrington's t-shirt....a diversion in a likely/known place. Seems many of us locals think this area should have been searched sooner given its nefarious history. And I'm assuming there's a good chance perp is a local....

Snipped by me:

"The entire area and the river are being searched for clues and evidence," said Lafayette Police Department PIO Cpl. Paul Mouton in an email Sunday afternoon. "Police are asking the public to remain out of the area so that law enforcement officials can search."

Currently, members of the St. Martin Parish Narcotics Unit are using four-wheelers to scour the treeline and woods in the area. A Louisiana State Police helicopter is flying low, performing an aerial search.

Underneath the bridge itself, K-9 units and a Lafayette Police Department command post are set up to help direct the searchers.

Do y'all think there is enough evidence yet to call in a Criminal Profiler (or whatever they are called)? They usually are really good at what they do and most often can give a pretty accurate description of the perpetrator.

I think there was an earlier report that the FBI has already been working on this case. So i think they might have used their profiling services already.

This is one of the many types of assistance the FBI offers in these situations.

Thanks. Must have missed that in all of the reading I have been doing. Also, I would hope if they are doing that, that they would release what they have come up with.

I had assumed that the FBI was already compiling a profile, though I imagine it isn't much considering the lack of evidence in this case. This is the first real trace found since last Saturday (if you don't count the vehicles of interest in the surveillance video).

I'm not going to second guess LE capabilites...but since I'm from Texas I can say about my fellow Texans....I think TES being the search specialists they are...should have surveyed the big picture and given W/B some attention. I don't know that they didn't but....just sayin...

Just baseing this comment on what I've read of the locals who know that area.

Arrested 5/18 for soliciting prostitutes. I would assume this act was not consummated and he was probably given a ticket and released? "Free" on 5/19? Still had a "need"?

*Implies he has certain comforts in pulling over and engaging women on streets.

Questions to the Locals:

1. Where are the "known" prostitute areas?
2. Was MS biking through any of these "areas"?

I would suppose a 'white" vehicle check should be done against any/all those convicted of soliciting a prostitute in the past few years. Prostitute assaults as well. IMO

Before I leave for a bit, Charlie, God bless you and your family. You know who I am from karaoke and my nic (JP's song). This has got to be the hardest part, yet, as LEOs comb the area. Stay strong, girl. Your community is with you. And stay strong for your parents.
