OH OH - Chillicothe/Middletown Missing/Murdered, Possible Serial Killer

That would be awesome! Thanks CD82! Right now, my gut is telling me this killer may be in the 'periphery' of these women's lives somehow. Possibly through dealers/pimps. JMO

Nichole Alloway, reported missing near Portsmouth 6/10/13. Found later that month in an abandoned house. A man was arrested in relation to her death; I cannot find any updates on this.
Still looking. Says she overdosed and Howard dumped her body.

Autopsy showed no drugs in her system, Howard was lying. Still seeing if he's in jail or not.

Wild theory --

What if Shasta completed suicide because she knew something about the other killings / missing women and could not live with herself? What if her bf was involved and she felt that was her only way out?

Wild theory --- speculation --- MOO

AFAIK Shasta's boyfriend was in jail when the last 2 went missing. Still is but he could still be connected in some way.

I'm just sharing this unrelated article as another theory. It illustrates how far these drug dealers travel. Someone running drugs to small towns in different states, could leave many victims in multiple locations.

http://fox59.com/2015/06/22/four-arrested-on-drug-charges-tied-to-hiv-outbreak-in-southern-indiana/

The on-going investigation has revealed that Elkins had traveled to Scott County numerous times over the last eight months to distribute methamphetamine in multi-ounce to kilogram quantities. The investigation also revealed that Elkins obtained Opana pills in Alabama and was distributing them in Scott County due to the high demand and huge profit margins where Opana is being sold for as much as $160 per pill.

Based on additional information, a search was conducted of Elkins’ residence in Georgia, which resulted in the seizure of additional methamphetamine and $10,500. Further investigation led investigators to a source of supply in Bremen, Georgia, who coordinated multiple shipments of methamphetamine and agreed to provide Elkins with Opana pills on a monthly basis for distribution in Scott County, Indiana.

I've been wondering the same thing, BeginnersLuck. It took a while to connect the missing women from Chillicothe. I wonder if this killer has left more victims in other areas.

Rt. 23 has been known as a major drug pipeline from Michigan and Columbus to southern Ohio and West Virginia for years. The Ohio State Highway Patrol has made many, many drug busts on Rt. 23.

I've been doing some poking around on the Rt. 23 connection, myself. I think the possibility that there may be victims in other highly-trafficked mid-US heroine cities is very real. I also agree with looking into KY missing women. Some of the OH girls have friends in KY.

Authorities have ruled Sayre’s death a homicide. The grisly discovery helped launch the task force, which now includes more than a dozen members, including the FBI analysts, according to Preston. The task force is investigating the cases of all six women, even those formerly considered suicides. According to media reports, the investigation could also expand to at least three other women who went missing from nearby Portsmouth and Columbus.

According to this Jason McCrary was locked up when Wanda Lemons vanished. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/crime/ohio-town-fears-serial-killer-loose-article-1.2269997

He was also out of jail when all but one of the women, Lemons, vanished. The Plain Dealer reported that the accuracy of exactly when Lemons was last seen, however, remains in question.

McCrary was reportedly released on Nov. 7 after a four-month sentence for an attempted burglary while Lemons was reported missing three days earlier.

The killer seems to be active in Apr/May and Nov/Dec. Are there any annual events such as carnivals, festivals (music, art, etc.) car shows, sporting events that occur in the area during these times of the year? The killer could be someone who follows a 'circuit' like a carnival worker, food truck operator, artisan since the disappearance dates seem to follow a pattern. Someone who travels and needs to aquire drugs, whether for personal use or to lure vulnerable women with drug addictions, would have a connection in every town, IMO. LE needs to up their night patrol in the areas where these women went missing.
If his next victim is not until NOv/Dec I will be really creeped out!

since this is such a fluid and ever-expanding case, maybe we should ask it to be made into a FORUM, so then we could have vic threads, and other related threads--any threads in the missing area could then be merged as well--the drug/prostitution/friends connection between KY and OH can't be ignored--maybe even MI

Yes.....so crazy it has to end up a forum! We can add all the other ladies' threads.

The fifth woman in the investigation was Timberly Clayton, whose body was found in a ditch last month. She had been shot in the head three times. Police have announced a suspect over her death.

Yes. Jason McCrary has been in jail almost a full month for unrelated charges, but they're holding him at high bail until they can get a case against him it seems. Smart of them. Her body was found right where he was staying and there is quite a bit of physical evidence against him.

Take a look at this Websleuths thread regarding Natasha Fugate Jones who has been missing in eastern Kentucky for several weeks now.

Among the similarities that I noticed was that Natasha Fugate Jones was in rehab when she disappeared and also a mother of two children. I also noticed that Natasha Fugate Jones apparently was last seen around the same time frame when Tiffany Sayre also disappeared.

KY - Natasha Fugate Jones, 31, Knott County, May/June 2015

Here's this too. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2015/06/24/ohio-missing-women-unexplained-deaths/29237415/

Investigators have traveled throughout southern Ohio and Kentucky trying to get information on Sayre, in addition to interviewing subjects and administering polygraph tests. On May 23, officers also did something they rarely do when they arrested three alleged prostitutes in hopes of getting information about the missing women.
