GUILTY Peru - Stephany Flores, 21, murdered in Lima hotel room, 30 May 2010 #25

Wasn't JVD trying to borrow more money from Ludwick, he probably wouldn't tell him to gamble with... Later he told him he didn't need it? Memory could be way off on this.

I'm not sure about JVDS telling him JL didn't need it, but Ludwick told NG in his 2010 interview that JVDS asked him for money to get home from Peru.

You know another can of worms. Here is an e-mail exchange between you and Joran Van Der Sloot where he says, happy birthday, I hope you had a good day. This is May 29.

And remember how important family and friends are. By the way, can you send me some money through Western Union tomorrow? Remember that?

LUDWICK: Yes, I do.

GRACE: Did you send him money?

LUDWICK: No, I didn`t. He had told me -- that was the evening of May 29th and I guess the alleged event happened later -- a few hours later into the 30th. But he told me he needed money to get back to Aruba. So, I mean, before I had a chance to help him out, I couldn`t get ahold of him. And then the news said what it said.

That is so weird. Why does he sign his name and then scribble all over it? I know that handwriting expert said that maybe it means he hates himself, but I don't know. I think he thinks he's pretty hot stuff.

I know a GREAT hand writing expert - I believe she belongs to this forum, not too sure - but I'll find that link above and send it to her - maybe we can get a better insight on his hand writing!!! :great:

Respectfully snipped and my bolding

JVDS attracts two types, the mentally unstable like MH, the type he can prey on and manipulate, and those who are cut from the same cloth as him.

Most of the comments below the articles about MH are attacking her, that's understandable given the outlandish and crazy things she says and does, on top of sending him all that money, she probably isn't going to get a whole lot of sympathy because of that. But she's also exactly the type that a sociopathic cretin like JVDS would sink his claws into and not take them out until he wipes them clean and then tosses them away. It was probably like taking candy from a baby for him to get MH to send him money.

MH seems different from some of other JVDS hangers in that she is clearly delusional and mentally unwell and really seems to believe that it's just her and JVDS against the world. She now even brings AVDS into it, saying even AVDS turned against her son, even more reason in her unstable mind that she needs to fight. I don't believe that's entirely accurate though, I believe AVDS got alarmed once MH started talking publicly and it became obvious that she was unstable, knowing how it would look if it got out that she's been sending them both all that money. AVDS saying JVDS isn't worth saving was just meant to tell MH to go away.

MH is definitely off her rocker but needs sympathy as well.

JMHO.

Exactly!! I'm sure AVDS was all too happy to take Mary's money until Mary started shooting her mouth off.

Another way she is different from his other supporters is that she obviously has a lot of money she's all too willing to throw his way. She should thank her lucky stars he wasn't released to go live in that apartment she was willing to pay for or she very likely could have become his next victim.

Clearly she's not well but it's difficult for me to drum up much sympathy for her.

okay - I've pm'd my friend, and she won't be back in town until Tuesday, but finds the project interesting!! She too wants to about joran!! LOL! :great:

I know exactly what you mean. That's why I go back and forth with my feelings regarding her. Believe me, I totally agree, it is really diffcult to feel sorry for her with her praise of JVDS, especially when she says things like she said on Anderson. The sheer gall she has that she would even say that she was trying to help the SF and NH families too, and thinks that they would want anything to do with her and her outlandish praise of this killer. She didn't want to hear anything and wanted people to believe she was smarter than everyone else when it comes to JVDS.

Then I think of her delusions, that she really believed that anyone, especially two presidents, would give her the time of day let alone release a murderer into her care so she can help him with a thesis that he'll give to the peruvian people after she finishes her made up Ghandi program, and it's clear she is suffering from a serious mental disorder. The part that makes me feel sorry for her is JVDS manipulating a mentally ill woman to get her money, I can easily see him sending her even deeper into her madness by the things he's said to her so he could keep his hook into her finances.

JMHO

The National Enquirer - FWIW...

"He had listened impassively as he was sentenced to 28 years in prison – but once out of sight of a worldwide television audience Joran exploded in a violent rage.

The 24-year-old convicted murderer struggled with guards, kicked a wall and screamed in anger after learning that he was being immediately transferred to Peru’s toughest prison, leaving behind the cushy cell filled with amenities he had bought with bribes.

In another devastating blow for the arrogant son of a wealthy family, he’s now been abandoned by his heartbroken mother."

I don't believe for a second that AVDS has turned her back on her beloved 'sporter.'.

I think the Enquirer is mixing up what AVDS said to the 'guardian angel' to leave Joran alone, with AVDS abandoning JVDS. I don't believe she will ever abandon her son, as misguided as it is.

I'm glad to see he was upset at the sentence. HE thought his lawyer was going to get him off with a couple of years and a slap on the wrist. He MURDERED a young woman, for goodness sake!

Like I said, he killed someone in the wrong country this time. JVDS isn't the one with the connections this time. There's nobody around to sweep his evil deeds under the rug! :behindbar

Pppfffftttt!

VAN DER SLOOT VOID JUDGEMENT CALLS

Joran wants the ruling of the judge who sentenced him to 28 years in prison, is annulled. He has the Peruvian Supreme Court sent a letter in which he substantiates this request.

Van der Sloot gave immediately after the verdict that he was the punishment of 28 years is excessive. Furthermore, his first confession "never estimated value," says his lawyer Jose Jimenez Navarro.

If the Supreme Court approves the invalidation, the verdict of 28 years off the table cell. What happens next is unclear. The court, the application of Van der Sloot study. It may take several months.

So he wants the entire sentence thrown out now? :waitasec:

I have been following this case on and off. I just have to say one thing about his sentence: BWAHAHAHAHAHA! Bet he wasn't expecting that!

Beats me!?

I would assume that there would be no extradition until any and all appeals are exhausted.

Or until the $69,000 runs out. Whichever comes first. :floorlaugh:

LIMA, Peru — Joran van der Sloot’s attorney says he has appealed his client’s 28-year sentence for murdering a young Peruvian woman he met in a Lima casino.

Attorney Jose Jimenez says the three judges who sentenced Van der Sloot on Jan. 13 did not take into account his client’s initial confession to police.

Was that the confession that he recanted because he didn't have a translator?

Why yes I believe it was. You know...the confession he gave after he tried to pass off the murder originally as being committed by members of the Peruvian LE when he was telling his story to the Chilean LE. After the Chilean LE told him to take a hike and sent him back to Peru and he was told about all the evidence, he gave that actual confession that he then recanted because he didn't understand what was going on.

Hold on...are JVDS and Jimenez rewriting history here or have I got it all wrong? Did he confess in Chile?

Jimenez said the request was being made because the court said the defendant had not collaborated with authorities.

The Dutchman’s lawyer argues the opposite is true.

"He was not captured in Chile, he turned himself in […] and gave details of how he had committed the crime."

Since Jimenez came on board much later, does he even know about the crazy original story?

:waitasec:

:waitasec:

Rewriting history sounds about right. But is is JVDS after all, trying to rewrite history, take things back, ask for do-overs is what he's all about. Whatever works to his advantage at any given time. :maddening:

NOW he hopes it will work to his advantage to say he willingly turned himself in, immediately confessed and basically solved the case for them from the get go. But what happened back with his first attorney when they wanted everything thrown out? :furious:

http://www.radaronline.com/category/tags/jordan-van-der-sloot

The reason he gave was the ongoing motion for habeas corpus -- a legal action whereby a defendant can seek relief from unlawful detention.

van der Sloot's attorney, Maximo Altez, says his rights and due process were violated after his arrest in connection with the killing of the Peruvian student.

Altez he hopes he will be able nullify the statements van der Sloot gave to police that led to his imprisonment.

Van der Sloot is charged with murder in the May 30 killing in his hotel room of a 21-year-old Lima woman he met playing poker.

He also remains the prime suspect in the 2005 disappearance in Aruba of U.S. teen Natalee Holloway.

van der Sloot has said he was "tricked" into confessing.

"In my blind panic I signed everything, but never knew what was written on them," he told De Telegraaf in a jail interview.

And then he also had his 10 million dollar lawsuit.
