James Bisset / Shannan Gilbert connection

If it was a huge conspiracy, a group of killers, why keep her body where it was? They had days to get rid of her body.

Good question - I'm wondering if the fact that she had connected with 911 and neighbours - together with them knowing the clients address that she was at last made them panic?

Not if she got away and they couldn't find her. Remember, she had a driver, too. Maybe that was a fact they didn't know ahead of time? It's not like they could go searching for her with Pak there. I don't know, Shannen's case has me totally baffled. I think if she went all the way to LI in the early hours of the morning, that she had been there before. Especially is it was only a $300 call. Whatever the case may be, Shannen did not die in vein....her tragedy brought closure (somewhat) to many other families.

It baffles me too and makes me feel unsettled because I want to have the answers. I range from she predicted that she was going to die and she died, was it murder, to the question if she was extremely Manic from Bipolar, high off that and drugs combined, whisking off very late out to a place she did not know because she told the operator she was at a different beach. The family history of severe mental illness. My mind takes me back and forth between those two.

If shannon was drugged and escaped maybe they didnt know where she went so chances of finding her wasnt going to happen.Once the body was found a panic set in and someone couldnt handle the possible outcome of his family finding out. There are alot of very wealthy men single and married who may have a sinister side.We cant compare our relationships to all others. The suicide timing is very odd to the case.

If there were three there then shannon saying they are trying to kill me could refer to JB and the unknown male since MP was in the car. Who is the unknown? This would be good to know wonder if anyone knows the name.

I've noticed an old post on the Suffolk County Topix page by user KLK who claims there were THREE men at the client Joseph Brewer's house that evening - Michael Pak, Joseph Brewer and a third "unknown male who was not Bissett". Has anyone else heard of a third male being present? Link to comment is below.

Yes it is well documented that there was a Drifter at the house. He even wrote a book about it. Go back and read all the discussions. The Drifter wrote about it in a book.

He "W" does not discuss his experience living with JB until the very end. He used quite a bit of drugs but him going into the basement (no lights on) and smelling something foul, freaked me out. It was an interesting read.

Does anyone have the timeline Joseph called the police on Shannon? I cannot find it to compare to the timeline when she called them.

He did not call. He claims that at one point during her 23 minute 911 call she was hiding behind his couch and handed him the phone and he calmly spoke with the 911 operator to explain how she seemed to be having a paranoid episode

BBM I've never heard this before. When/where was this reported?

She handed him the phone?? Why didn't he tell the 911 operator exactly where she was?? Why didn't he request an ambulance for her?? Did he just calmly hand the phone back to her??!

Where did you get that information from? Do you have a link to support it? I find it strange to believe JB calmly spoke to the police and they never asked him about his and SG's whereabouts?

Just saw you added the same kind of questions. Again, we need to see the source of information or ps149 may consider getting verified as an insider and won't have to substantiate his or her claims.

I havent read the book but common sense tells us that he most likely turned on the lights to see what the awful smell was about. Common sense also tells us that you cant really go into a dark basement without finding some light source.

I suspect it was his way of writing the book and not wanting to admit he saw what he really saw.

This makes me wonder if the mystery caller who said something about "watching her rot" may have had the body in the basement until there was the perfect opportunity to take the body to the fields not far away.

For the Gilgo beach bodies I have always felt the killer had to have lived near there as a child. Thinking about it more that in order to know when the perfect time to go there to dump the body and not be seen they may have had to have the body stored nearby too.

So maybe it wasnt just a childhood home. Maybe the bodies were kept very close by too until dumping time.

The episode where Josh and Rachel parked right near the cross where the bodies were found at night showed us that cars do travel down that road even at night. The LISK killer may have been more local than I thought even during the killings and after the killings.

You would think LE would have found out if one of the main subjects homes was involved but it seems that LE may have not done a thorough job in the beginning and LISK had plenty of time to cleanup evidence by the time they got serious about this case.

Based on fred&edna's excellent questions, Brewer's alleged convo with 911 could be relevant. Do you have a link? If not, please share why you think Brewer spoke with 911. TIA.

Maybe that info being referred to is in the book?
