P.'s body was not found among the rubble of her small, modest frame home that burned completely to the ground Thursday afternoon and triggered a 30-acre pasture fire north of her home, pushed by strong southerly winds. The fire also burned her early 1960s Chevy II that was adjacent to the home.
A one-time teacher described as an eccentric who lived alone, P. was known to not have gone anywhere without her car, though apparently her car – which she reportedly bought new and continued to drive – had become inoperable in recent days.
A neighbor, Earlene Davidson, said P. walked to her church, Whitt Assembly of God, last Sunday – not a short walk.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of P. is asked to call the Parker County Sheriff’s Office at (817) 594-8845.
