Cell Phones and LISK

The purpose of a forum is to accomodate topic specific threads. Presently, the theory thread contains 1800+ posts on every topic under the sun. Members repeat the same questions over and over because the answers are buried in the hodge podge, and/or they won't take the time to look for, and post in, the appropriate thread!

Yes, there are quite a few threads in this forum, and many are unnecessary. That was the result of allowing members to open threads, which is no longer the case. New threads now have to be approved before they are open for posting. If a member would like to start a new thread, S/he can send me a request in a pm, and I'll be glad to consider it.

To answer your request, no, I won't move the post back to the other thread. Sorry.

As a reminder, comments about thread management always should be addressed in a private message to an admin or mod.

Emre, You refer to the LISK crew. Does this mean you think the victims were killed by a group rather than an individual? Sorry. This post has nothing to do with cell phones.

I disagree. First of all, older people can get the handle of technology. I think Jessica Taylor is related to the GB and the LISK would be too young.

Correct. Two or maybe three. IMO.

If a phone is turned off, I believe it can still be tracked by at least the cell phone company, as long as there's juice in it.

LE knows how Meliissa and Maureen traveled to Long Island. Follow the pings. Either they took the railroad or they traveled by cars over the bridges. They had their phones with them. No reason to believe Amber and Megan did not. Especially since Lorraine said she was receiving calls at her job.

I think your correct. I've always been under the assumption that it has more to do with the batterie and if its in or not.

Was ALC the only one who someone (her roommate) could confirm that this request was made by whoever was on the phone?
Because I'm trying to remember here but I know Megan had left her phone but do we no for sure he requested her to do so? Could she have had another phone? If I was an escort I wouldn't be having clients call me on my personal phone.
Burner phones are cheap.
MBB and MB both had their phones and we all know at least one of those phones ended up no doubt in the killers hands. ALC didn't have a phone and I'm sorry if its mean but I can't buy everything someone who didn't even report her missing says.
I just have never felt that he was requesting the girls leave their phones. If anything I think he liked having their phones to play with afterward. Like his trophy almost.

Well, I think the Hollywood description of smart, white, midaged, highly educated killer is way off the reality. I personally find only one of those guys really smart. But I'm not telling it here. He's not caught. Most of the others are average at best.

The smart serial killer comes from Hollywood and incompetent LE Agencies who can't do their job correctly

Why is the baby registered in the Namus database as SEX: Unsure. Everybody knows it's a girl. Who's filing the information? SCPD. What difference does it make?

Suppose you're the "Puerto Rican grandma" of the baby and try to find her using the search function of Namus, the only criteria is "SEX:FEMALE."

And why isn't mom there? I know only remains found but is that enough to exclude her from the database when there's a baby out there? Who is not doing the filing?

Sadistic... I think that is rubberstamping a psychological trait. Of course this man has serious issues but is he sadistic? If he is caught, do you think they will find weird sex paraphernalia, chains, torture seats in his home? I don't think so. I interpret his calls to sis Amanda as a sexual advance. I think we all know by now what little we were able to know about what was actually said.

The question is why dismemberment, not JT is linked or not.

Second thing: Organized? What does that mean? What is a profile created for? To give an idea about where to find this guy, right?

I think "Organized" is just a fancy word that doesn't hold any significane. He's organized, so where do we need to look for him? He's organized so he's a firefigther, or he's a chemist? Where does "organized" point to?
