Interesting investigative report from Florida. Would hate to be one of the parents of a missing child that wants to have their child home and has no info. In the same light, would not want a child returned to an abusive environment.

I figured this out just by reading the "resolved cases" on charleyproject.org, many many of them have been "recovered" just after they are old enough to not have to go home again or are old enough to become 'emancipated'. Unfortunately, where they have been in the meantime we will never know and oftentimes it has probably been heartbreaking. There aren't many resources for these young people to keep them safe during their wait to become adults and legally on their own. :maddening:
