Brittany Murphy did not die of natural causes, lab report shows

Probably every one of us would have bathrooms that junked up if we were too paranoid to hire a housekeeper.. And you know they didn't clean up after themselves at all, being " celebrities". It's just a case of messy people not keeping things neat and being too afraid of photographers to hire a housekeeper.
The things which are coming out now about her hidden CCTV and security systems are very strange, IMO, UNLESS she had been stalked..

no, that is excess. maybe a sign of hoarding. normal people don't have that many toiletries - at least no couples i know. and it doesn't take a housekeeper... many celebs don't have one.

i find it all quite claustrophobic.

I am extremely neat and organized.
However, I think that if any of us were to pull the Clarisonic out and the Sonicare toothbrushes, and the hair dryers and the curling irons and flat irons-- yeah, I really do think that most women could make a bathroom look that messy if they were that messy. Or sick, as in physically ill.
I read the autopsy report in detail. The surroundings were described ( the bathroom where she collapsed) and there were a TON of empty Rx and other types of non- medicinal containers in the bathroom. LIke, they'd run out of shampoo, and just leave the empty bottle there. Again, either too sick or lack of a housekeeper, which they could afford.

i don't see any sonics or hairdryers or irons in those pics so i wasn't talking about that.

moving on... :)

I once contracted a very severe form of " pneumonia"-- actually the Polmunologists and Infectious Disease specialists I had at my bedside thought I had SARS ( our hospital was a Level One trauma center so we had a huge transient population of recent immigrants to treat). We never did know definitely what I had but it was an extremely swift and severe pneumonia.
While I was at home sick, and not able to realize how sick I was because my oxygen levels were so low already, I took cough medicine and pain pills I had for a back injury because I felt so awful. I went to my doctor's office ( to get a refil for the narcotic- containing cough medicine) and he saw that I was drastically ill. I don't remember much about that day, except that I wanted to " go home and pack my things for the hospital". I wasn't rational, IOW, because my O2 level was so low.. (it was in the mid 80's and I am a non-smoker with a usual 100% O2 saturation level). I was also NOT anemic which changes the picture so very critically for Brittany and her husband too.

I KNEW to stay in bed, to leave my O2 mask on, to leave my IV alone, but I was so confused because my O2 sat was NOT coming up after hospitalization that I pulled everything off, including my hospital gown which I had spilled a diet Coke on. What a horribly embarrassing thing to do but again- my O2 sat was so low I was barely conscious.
IF I had not had a doctor who made a Chest X ray and saw that my lungs were totally consolidated, and if I had not had the best possible medical care available, I would have died. And I was 31 years old.. and a RN who KNEW, who absolutely KNEW what the symptoms of respiratory illness are.. but I got so sick in such a hurry and lost the ability to reason because my oxygen level was almost to the " Unconscious" level for a few days.
I absolutely think Brittany's death was a very rare set of circumstances, all non- deliberate. IF she had received proper medical check ups, her anemia would have been found and treated and she might could have fought off the pneumonia.. but with the lack of oxygen- rich blood. she had an extra strike against her. Also, the narcotics depressed her respirations and her cough reflex... but made her " feel better" because she could sleep after she took them. I remember how I felt so well.

ITA cause I am retired BCRN and I had post op pneumonia and lived one block from a hospital and did not think to call an ambulance. I did crawl to the phone to call my physician and thankfully she knew I was desperately ill. The person who was supposed to look after me neglected to make sure I had fluids or adequate nutrition much less care that I was acutely ill. Its just sad that BM's husband died in a similar fashion.

As well as being fearful of the paparazzi, she and Mr Monjack, believed they were being targeted by the American Government, after Miss Murphy gave evidence in a whistle blowing trial involving a friend.

That's the first I have heard about Brittany giving evidence in a trial. I am very curious about this. Has anyone read anything about it?
The photo's of the cluttered products in her bathroom scream like something wasn't right with her mental state. JMO.

Murphy and her husband became reclusive, installing CCTV cameras and fingerprint-recognition locking systems.

Obvious paranoia issues. I really wonder what happened to make Brittany and her husband so paranoid that they would go to such measures as installing finger print recognition system's and CCTV camera's in their own home.

This is case is insanely baffling! :gaah:

I watched the "autopsy" episode on this case. It showed the house was crammed with stuff and racks of clothing. Windows were sealed shut creating a moist atmosphere including mould in the bedroom which would have contributed to the respiratory illness.

In addition to the pneumonia type cough, she had taken a cough suppressant instead of expectorant, which meant the infection couldn't leave the body. Had she received medical treatment even 6 hours earlier i think they said, she could have made it.

Probably so but my point was maybe because of poor oxygenation she wasn't aware of how ill she really was. Mom should have known better IMO.

I've just watched the Autopsy programme. I found the doctor to be quite convincing in his assessment, with the chest infection, sedation from prescription meds and the poor state of the housing all playing a part. I have no idea how BM and her husband's medical conditions got so out of hand.

BM made a doctor's appt for the following Monday, did she speak to a doctor or a receptionist? I imagine if a doctor heard her breathlessness over the phone they might have wanted to see her earlier?

The programme also implied that there was a security guard present at all times. What was their role during all this? Perhaps they were kept totally unaware.

It just seems so sad that they lived out their days in squalor in spite of her wealth.

The husband's mum seemed to hold BM's mum responsible in some ways - she grew up seeing her mum constantly taking all sorts of prescription drugs and imagining this was safe - plus not calling for help until too late both times when they died.

So sad.

This always bothered me too. What is really weird is that years before she died, there was this guy on her IMDB website ClassAlpha who would write the most hateful things about her and I always wondered about that too. Really weird things that in hindsight seem odd now. He also posted under various other "troll" names varying the tag class alpha, but would definitely state very weird things. I went to her IMDB site and he is still at it, but if you look back a couple of years ago with this guy or girls writings. Its quite creepy.
