Possible Victim: Valerie Mack, 24, Manorville Jane Doe #6, missing 2000, found Nov 2000 & Gilgo Beach Apr 2011

Jessica Taylor was pretty at risk and had a smack dependency. I'm thinking Jane Doe 6 was much like Jessica. Maybe they weren't just prostitutes, but also helped run/deal drugs? Wouldn't be the first prostitute I have seen dismembered b/c of a drug debt while she was also running drugs. I am not convinced they are victims of a serial killer, but rather a drug dealer or pimp. JMO

Have any source to back up your claim that Jessica Taylor had a "smack dependency"? I've been told that Jessica never did drugs

The thing is to date Bernadine has not been ruled out.

As promised I am continuing my running list of Suggestions for Manorville JD. This is based on reading this thread and recording all suggestions that have not been confirmed as submitted. We have debated the strengths and weaknesses of most of these which I have listed after each suggestion.

Looking for potential matches with that distinctive nose, Christina Lynn Lewis stood out to me: http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/l/lewis_christina.html
(The age-progression image has a completely different nose so I am ignoring that!) Disappeared from New Bern, NC sometime after June 6, 2000. Few details are available about the circumstances of her disappearance.

Looking into old news reports about this case I found an interesting detail: the remains were in a garbage bag inside "other bags." What type of bags were could be very interesting to know...

Luo, Michael; Demoretcky, Tom; Lam, Chau. Newsday, Combined editions; Long Island, N.Y. [Long Island, N.Y]29 Nov 2000: A37.

Anthropologist Studies Body
After consulting an anthropologist, Suffolk homicide detectives have issued what they believe to be a more accurate description of an unidentified woman whose decapitated, partly decomposed body was found by a trio of hunters in Manorville on Nov. 19...examine the remains found in a wooded area west of Halsey-Manor Road...
The woman's body, minus the head and hands, was in a garbage bag placed inside other bags, police said...

Police said they believe the woman was white, 5-foot-1 to 5-foot- 5, 110 to 120 pounds, with brown hair, and roughly 35 to 40 years old. The expert estimated the body was placed there between two and six weeks ago, Ahl said.

I wanted to throw Debbie Ferris out there, she was added to namus back in March, last seen in Colonie, NY in 1999. Couldn't find anything on her other than what's in namus, no mention of a broken nose but with that time span I couldn't rule her out because of that. She did walk with a limp. DNA sample available - Not yet submitted. With the timing, location and not knowing anything about her disappearance this might be one to look at.

Debbie went missing from a motel in Colonie, NY which is Albany County about 3 1/2 hours from Long Island. Great find!

That looks like a really good possibility.

“'This woman would have been last seen alive in the late summer/fall of 2000,' said Dormer, who added the woman probably had some kind of tattoo or identifying mark on her right ankle since that part of her was cut off by her killer." Which fits with Colleen. Can someone submit this?

Ah yes, great point. I just emailed the NamUs administrators for both people. (That's what people mean when they talk about "submitting," right?)

Yes, that is a good way to submit a potential match. Another way is to submit a form through Doe Network http://www.doenetwork.org/forms/index.php/945274?lang=en There a panel will review the match and if it passes the panel it will be submitted to LE in both areas. Since Colleen has dentals available they can be compared and if she is not a match it will be entered into NamUs as a rule out for the Jane Doe.

Oh thank you, I'll submit it there, too.

Mary Bell, tips / potential match coordinator at the Doe Network responded saying: "Thank you for the suggested match. I don't show any comparison of these having been done, so I will have our panel look at it. If it is proven to be a positive match, I will contact you further."

Amanda Bixler from NamUs responded saying: "Thanks for the tip!"

Hope it helps...
